Oh Lisa, I thought the other birdhouses were so different and wonderful but 😮 wowza! These are over the top. They are all just to wonderful to choose a favorite. Your husband is right about that metal one, you should keep it. The pieces you used are so different and creative, most people don’t think like that. Love these. God bless you and yours. ❤ Hi Lisa, you have purchased a lovely piece of property! When I saw the different pieces of old scrap pieces…some of that would make beautiful planters! Lots of unique character pieces…vintage! And yes, some of the birdhouse holes are a tad too big for the reason that predators will go in to the nests and eat the eggs or the baby birds… That is too upsetting to have that happen! Where I live, crows, blue jays, squirrels, etc. will do that! So I lovingly encourage smaller holes to enter the birdhouse! ❤

I love your channel and your work always makes me smile. I know what you mean about wanting to see other people's (viewer's) projects posted. I came up with a solution that you might like. The holes are so big you will get very big birds only.If you made the holes about one inch or a tiny bit bigger you will get some song birds.If a small bird has to use the big holes bigger birds will come and eat the babies.

Oh goodness, as if I didn’t need more junque!😅 I absolutely love each one of these birdhouses. Your clever uses of bits and baubles are so fun. I know I would have a hard time parting with any of them. I used to have an old wood shoeshine box. Wonder if I still do? 🤔 We have 13 acres of woods and we tried creating trails and making a little camp area, but after a few years, it seemed like every year a huge tree (or more) would fall and block the trail. The hubby is getting tired of cutting trees. At least you won’t have to worry about them falling on your house. 🏡 We haven’t yet, but they’ve come really close a few times!

*Miss Lisa; I am NOT being critical, just informative. The entrance holes 🕳 in your birdhouses are too large. Birds 🐦 won't use a birdhouse with a large hole because predators have easy access and can eat their eggs 🥚or kill the baby birds. 🐣 You can research this online to find out the best sizes you want to attract the birds you are seeking to make nests in your birdhouses. It's an easy fix; just glue a piece of wood or metal with a smaller hole 🕳 drilled in it over the larger hole. Or glue a metal washer over the large hole to make it smaller. 😊 However, metal may get too hot for the bird's little feet or bodies. 🔥 It depends on how much shade the birdhouses will have.* *You will be surprised at how small the holes should be.🙉😉*

Your creativity is astounding. However, not to criticize, but please research before making items like this, for the little birdies’ sake. Here is just a bit of info: “Drill small holes (1/8 to 1/4-inch diameter) through each side of the birdhouse just below the roof. This will provide better air circulation. Do NOT add perches. Perches allow predatory birds (like jays, magpies, ravens, and crows) better access to the eggs and young in a nest box.” Thank you for looking after nature in such a creative way!
