But when the repetitive music is playing while you are talking, it can be really distracting from what you are saying. Wondering if you could leave that out or take the volume down on that? Well yes but everything Drew creates is Off White, Beige 1, Beige 2 or Black. Not tricky to throw him with a bit of colour. For the project though it looked fabulous in black.

This reminded me--many years ago I thrifted some bamboo blinds--a very large version of the little placemats you used. They were faded and one end of the blinds was sort of unraveling. I used weed clippers to cut the damaged ends off (and sawed off a bit of the bamboo), spray painted the whole thing black, and hung it in the window in my apartment. It was so cheap and looked very cool.

This was great! I love collabs and thrift swaps/art swaps. For that lamp is would be so cool if the black placemat was layered over some color, like red, that would just barely peek through the black mesh. Or even the black bamboo mesh layered over a print fabric. Placemat obscures most of the print, but subtle hints of the color and pattern peek through. This is giving me ideas.

I kind of wished that you had overlapped all the mats around the lampshade, so there would be triangles all around, but it still looks wonderful. That mirror! Wow! This really was the collaboration we needed! Two of my favourite channels ever on KZbin! I loved the way the box turned out! It's so amazing how you can look at a thrifted item and see no hope for it and then someone else shows you the item from a different view and changes it for the better. This is why Drew and the Sorry Girls have such a following and reputation, they've helped so many people revamp what they own and inspired creative outbursts that we sorely need in today's fast-paced world. I love that storage box! I would put my tall bottles of hairspray etc., and maybe the hair dryer into it. I currently keep the tall bottles in a waste bin from target just so they can stand up and not fall over and not be visual clutter.

I adore both projects, but when I saw the upside-down V in the back of the lampshade, all I could think of was a tuxedo jacket! I would have slapped a satin ribbon on the edges and a satin bowtie on it. That would have been awesome in a bathroom or boys' bedroom. The box turned out sharp and functional!
