Hi... hope you can help. I cannot get the green arrow to show where I am on my phone. I am using the AI companion to test on phone. I do however, have a Blue Dot showing my location on the computer. I have the "show_user" enabled on my map... Do I need to do anything with the Longitude/Latitude settings???

Hi Liz, is the Map centered/showing your actual position? The "user" is where the user long/lat is pointing. you can try to add a button that takes you to your actual lat/long, by using Map1.PanTo. or disable/enable GPS in your android to force an update.

Warning: Please be aware that the current Map component has an issue that can drain between 1 and 2 GB per hour(!) of your mobile phone data budget. This is caused by continuous reload of map tiles. The MIT people involved are informed about the bug and working on a solution.

The data issue I warned for has been solved in the new test release on april 29, 2023. So any new release after that date should be ok.

Hi, I am currently programming an app where the user's current location is displayed on one screen. I have watched your video and programmed like you instructed, but I cannot get the app to display the user's current location when I run it with the Emulator. Hi, thanks for asking. Normally I use Genymotion for testing in emulators. But for development, I use my physical phone with the "Your Phone app" (from Microsoft). In the app, you can cast your phone to your pc and operate it with your mouse. @@az6604 I did this: Go to www.genymotion.com/download/ and download Genymotion Desktop for your OS (just tried on windows) Install and run Genymotion Desktop Create an account if you don't have one yet Log in to Genymotion Desktop and choose Personal use when prompted. You may need to completely uninstall it you are in trouble... (and... update your windows to the latest version!)
