idk if this makes any sense-- but she flips the front lapels right sides together on either side (3:32) , before hand basting the sides of the collar to them (3:53) and machine sewing them. She cuts notches along the seam to make it lay properly when she presses. Then she flips them right side out and presses then pokes all her corners out. She left an opening in the back, and to attach that you would sew the bottom layer down to the shirt first (like she did in this clip: 5:43) then she clipped the left and right sides of the top layers raw edge and rolled the raw folded it underneath and topstitched finish it (6:03). (you'll see her snipping things on the garment--after she machine sews it she is removing her basting stitches :)) I really hope this helps? I'm not the best at explaining things but it took me a few watches to understand. Either way I hope your project works out for you!!! :)@@annaclaireb

What is the paper material that you are ironing onto the fabric? I was planning to print this pattern on printer paper - can I not do that and need to use a different material?
