I know this was 3 years ago, but I just wanted to say thank you for making this video! I LOVE the results of my manicure from oracal vinyl! I covered the vinyl with clear gel, keeps the tips from lifting.
@janiethecraftprincess4 жыл бұрын
So happy you are loving your manicures. My daughter would sometimes use a glittery nail polish over hers. I never had a problem with the tips lifting but it might just depend on what you do or what vinyl you use. Some are temporary, and some are "permanent" (not really permanent though). But I bet it looks awesome with the clear gel :) Hugs....Janie

Hello 👋 I know this video is a couple years old but thank you. I was wondering, where can I find the nail heater that you used?
@janiethecraftprincess4 жыл бұрын
Brittany Burgan LOL I actually had to watch the video because it has been so long I wasn’t sure which one we used. The nail heater in the video says jamberry on it so that means it’s came from jamberry. Jamberry is a party plan company and we got it quite sometime ago when we had a party. That was before we discovered this much less expensive way of doing our nails. You don’t need to invest in a nail dryer you can always use your hairdryer. Thanks for stopping by :) Hugs...Janie

Thank you so much!! My daughter and I love doing this. I have some Cricut vinyl but have not tried it yet.....I have been using other vinyl that I have had for years that has no name. However....I WOULD NOT USE SIHLOUETTE vinyl as I can't even get it to work on my crafts. If you have Cricut vinyl you should try it and let me know how it goes :) Hugs...Janie
@janiethecraftprincess7 жыл бұрын
Michelle We tried Cricut vinyl today....I don't know how long it wii last but it did NOT go on easily at all. And toy can't heat it to make it more pliable because it can wrinkle a little, Did the second nail without heat since you don't really need heat to apply vinyl and it was a little better. I would suggest using the vinyl I gave links for in the description box.....less expensive than Cricut and more vareity. Good luck....and I will let you know know how long this stays on :) Hugs...Janie Oh...P.S. The printed vinyl that I gave a link for lasted 3 weeks before I took it off....would have lasted longer....but you do need to put a couple layers of top coat over the printed vinyl.

What kind of vinyl you use?
@janiethecraftprincess7 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what you mean by "kind of vinyl". There are links in the description box (just click on "show more") for the printed vinyl we used and also for someone selling a variety of colors. If you need a brand, I don't have a brand. But if you want to know about brands, we did try Cricut and it didn't work as well.....and I just don't like Silhouette vinyl. The vinyl on ebay (links I gave) are less expensive than "name brands" you find in craft stores. Oracle makes most vinyls. I wish I knew what you really wanted to know but the best I can do is what I said in the video and the links I posted. I hope this helps in some way. I could probably sell you some vinyl if you want. Thank you for watching :) Hugs...Janie
@julieroberts15197 жыл бұрын
jjgz4ever to clarify, you used an off brand, not oracle 651 or 631? Have you tried oracle? (I work in a sticker shop and have oracle scraps coming out my ears)
@janiethecraftprincess7 жыл бұрын
Julie I use a variety of vinyls including Oracle. In fact the link (above in my description box) for the printed vinyl is Oracle. And in my reply to Denise I referred to...."name brands" you find in craft stores.....meaning Cricut and Silhouette which are more expensive and don't work as well. I never said I used an off brand. Oracle is a wonderful brand and should work just fine. And Oracle can be purchased on ebay for a reasonable price and can purchased in sample packs. The last thing I want anyone to do is buy vinyl by the bolt for their nails. I'm trying help them do it inexpensively. I'm so happy to hear you work where you can get scraps to use....lucky girl....but not everyone is that lucky :) Hugs...Janie

How do you get samples to try?
@janiethecraftprincess4 жыл бұрын
Hello and thank you for stopping by. I'm so sorry but this video is 3 years old and the samples are long gone. I thought we might still have some....I looked....but no luck. If I do come across some I will send you a message here in the comments :) Hugs...Janie

Also....if you want to find some vinyl....Cricut.com sells a big variety of vinyl in both removable (does not stick as strongly) and permanent (not really permanent.....it just sticks until you remove it with a heat tool or blow dryer). They also have both solid colors and prints. I had links in my description box above to places on Ebay to get vinyl but those links are old and no longer go to where they used to. But I would sugges Cricut. Again....sorry about no longer having samples....like I said in my previous reply, this video is 3 years old :) Hugs...Janie

Thanks for stopping by. The links don't work because this video is 6 years old and after time some websites no longer exist, or eBay listings are long gone. I just updated the links with ones that will probably be around for years (hopefully). I will put them here in my reply for you 😊 Here are links to vinyl on Cricut's website: Permanent Vinyl (stays on until you take it off and my be difficult to get off) shrsl.com/3zf0i Removable Vinyl (very temporary, removes easily) shrsl.com/3zf0o Patterned Vinyl Sampler Packs shrsl.com/3zf0w
