My daughter is also getting married in June of 2018 (the 23rd)! I was just going to say that I have been researching every topic for diy wedding the mind can conceive and I have come across more cases than you'd think of random wedding crashers and venue staff stealing the bride and groom's cards out of their boxes (or in some cases-the whole box). Cards were actually stolen from my sister-in-law at the Mathews Yacht Club during her reception-more likely a staff member, since we knew the guest list well. There are so many moments when guests' eyes are everywhere else besides on that box. We plan to put the box center stage-not near an entrance and we are making a giant hatbox cardboard cake with lights (all boxes attached into one unit) to help any wedding crasher off the street make a good decision and not plunder it. I know this sounds paranoid, but it is a bad feeling when someone robs you. Plus, the bride and groom never know their guest(s) brought a gift for which to thank them. Just a thought. In any case, best wished for your wedding! Let's pray for beautiful weather and a smooth go of it!

nice idea... suggestion... why not use cardboard... you could have spray paint it silver... it's just as sturdy, not as heavy and no worrying about it cracking during transport especially since you covered the entire vase in bling wrap

I thought about it and indeed cheaper as well, but I didn't only wanted it to look like a million bucks, I wanted it to feel like it. Have you ever picked up a beautiful item and when you picked it up it was light as a feather? What was your thought?

I don’t understand why you used glass. It looks unstable. I think you could have used foam board or something else and lined it with plastic to make it waterproof. The glass is generally sharp on the edges. Just didn’t look stable.

DT have different sizes for 5X7 frames so you prob grab the wrong one. Take it back and take the square mirror with you to measure. I always measure items at the store and drive lots of people crazy while doing it! Haha! Hope this helps!
