Thank You!!! I've commented on many of his videos where he "welds" and I use the term lightly. How many of these items end up breaking? It's a shame because it's clever stuff and people razz him for the cost of his tools and hacks, but they are clever. People will always have opinions but If he welded the stuff right, who cares what people say? But the "welding" kills me.. Smh

Tack welding

@@devynpanchal7612 A "Tack" weld is a temporary spot or tack weld (@ .25 " or so) that holds a weldment together until it is ready to be welded solid. At no time should anyone stack several tacks together and consider it welded properly. Every stop when Mig welding, requires special care (grinding and positively running the bead over the stop) so cracks do not propagate from the crater that is inherent to Mig welding. The weld metal and base metal need to be fluid enough so containments boil out before freezing. The "welding" that is featured in this video is what persons who can't weld or afraid to weld solid beads do.

Metal used~ $40 Threaded rod~ $5-10 High quality 6k series bearings x 4~ $35 Welding equipment~ you get the picture Time and welding skill/knowledge~ $? Wonder if he knows you can get a pipe cutter at home depot for a fraction of the cost. I will admit the one from home depot will prob be a pos and not heavy duty like the one he built. So I'm torn between criticism and ya... a decent looking tool.

"Welding square tube" takes up five seconds of this video. Lol. Rocket genius haters in this comments section saying: "Use yer angle if'n yer gonna cut pipe" not even stopping to think of all the scenarios where a pipe cutter would be the better option or if your job did involve cutting pipe, you'd be smart to have a backup in case your angle grinder failed. I'll never have a need to cut pipe any more than could handle with a hacksaw, but l still appreciate the different steps of this build. If KZbin gives an award for best welding channel, this one deserves it. For someone learning to weld, this channel has a ton of stuff that even if it didn't turn out too pretty anyone could make and use with a little bit of practice.

Particularly his video about "Busting internet fake welders" to see how he edited his videos to look this way. And learn how to weld from THAT channel if you are looking to learn welding.
