ADVERTISING
As content creation is our business and how we earn our living you will see advertising in our content from time to time in different forms:
We are very selective about what brands we work with on paid/sponsored content creation and as a rule we don't work with any brand that we don't already or wouldn't spend our own money on. We are incredibly proud of all our brand partnership content and it will always be disclaimed in the most transparent way possible so you know exactly what is and 'AD'.
Because we don't work with a large amount of brands on sponsored content we do rely on our KZbin ad revenue. Any adverts you watch during the duration of our videos will earn us a small percentage of 'ad revenue' from KZbin and we really appreciate you watching the adverts in full (and not skipping them), but only if and when you can. We also know that time is precious so no pressure.
We also use 'Affiliate Links' in the description boxes below our videos and if you make a purchase via these links we will earn a small percentage of commission depending on the sale amount. Not all links are affiliate links but just assume they are
Any items/links marked with '[AD - Pr products]' are products which have been 'gifted' from the respective brands without a contract for sponsored content. This is still classed as a form of advertising because nothing is ever "free", brands are gaining exposure to our audience by us featuring them, so these items are marked as 'AD' but we are under no obligation to feature these items. And as with our paid content, we never accept gifting/pr products from brands that we don't already or wouldn't spend our money on. If we have received a press discount on anything featured this will also be disclaimed.
The Measurements of our Bin Store are: (H) 112cm x (W) 135cm x (D) 83cm
(AD- Pr Product) Ryobi supplied us with the following tools to help with our various projects:
Mitre Saw
Nail Gun
Please note, all other Ryobi tools have been purchased by us over the last 2 years.
Hook & Eye Latches amzn.to/3ryB3CE
Black Handles amzn.to/3tec1cq
Timber bought from B&Q
Hinges bought from Wickes
Wood Stain - Ronseal One Coat Fence Paint in 'Tudor Black Oak'
We had the chain left over from our DIY Ikea Hack Airer

You’re putting yourselves down saying it’s not a professional job, it looks fantastic!! Nothing worse than wheelie bins, ours are stored up the side of our house under some trees but get covered in leaves and sap etc so this would be great to protect and hide them. Much more aesthetically pleasing than those cheap plastic ones you see in the shops. Bravo guys 👏🏻👏🏻

What a great job Emma by you and Simon! The bin cupboard looks great and definitely matches your aesthetic. I see so many photos of lovely picturesque villages and so many of the houses have ugly plastic bins outside! Yours is so stylish! Love to you, Simon and the Bs. X

OMG, I've wanted one of these for ages but couldn't justify the expense. Thought about building one but didn't know where to start. Now I do. 😊 Thanks so much. Off to measure wheelies. 😂

Anything to disguise those ugly bins! Yours is a great solution, top access is a necessity in my book, and yours works really well. We have a large front garden, so we decided to disguise our wheelie bins with hedge! We have a long beech hedge facing out to the road, so instead of it being totally continuous, it has an oblong section stepped back, with enough space for the bins (we're lucky that it was made big as we've now got three bins rather than two). Originally, we we're going to do a sort of fence for the gap out to the road, but once we'd planted the hedge, my husband had the genius idea of planting hedge in the gap too. So basically, it's a hedge oblong with two openings, one for us and one for the bin men (we're lucky that we dont have to put the bins out in our area, as long as certain criteria are met). From the road, it almost looks like one long continuous hedge, and while it does take up space in the front garden, it's next to our kitchen garden, so it works really well. A couple of neighbours have done something similar, taking inspiration from ours.

This looks great - I’ve made a similar store myself with a green rood recently, it’s a lot of work. Only concern is it looks like you used untreated wood - even with the stain this probably won’t last long before it rots and warps. You can get all of those dimensions in treated timber which will give you a lot more life from your hard work!
@EmmaHill
@EmmaHill 13 күн бұрын
Luckily it is in a fairly sheltered area with the bushes but yes it definitely would have been better to use treated, my error 🤦‍♀️

This looks so damn good! And to be honest very professional in my opinion. What did this project costs without the tools?
@EmmaHill
@EmmaHill 11 ай бұрын
Thank you. It actually cost more than what a lot of log stores cost to buy ready made due to the rise in raw material costs. We spent £260 on the raw materials (wood) and fixings but not including the wood stain which we already had. I’m glad we did it though because we did have fun building this together and we made exactly what we wanted. I hope that helps x

I can't recall if I'm honest, maybe £80 or £90 - I thought I had put it in the description box (or maybe mentioned it in the video 🤦‍♀️) but obviously not. If you know the size of the store you want to build, you can check timber prices online at B&Q or Wickes and this will give you a rough idea as that is the main cost 👍
