Update: A few weeks ago the wing broke in halve. I think the 'hard points' or inserts that hold the brass bushes for the M6 screws tha bolt the wing to the fuselage, were too short. When you land on 1 wing halve after a small jump, the force on these inserts is huge due to the leverage effect. So, if you plan to build a wing yourself, I recommend that you make this connection a lot stronger than I did.

Is important understand the main foil carrying all load , board ,surfer , ecc . The foil ,specially the connection on fuselage and wings has to be strong , like airplane ,same concept Bye

Doing the same at the moment, but with a 3d printed cores filled with epoxy foam. :) Is there a reason you kept the Mylars quite far from the leading edge? I was thinking to maybe just have them touch or overlap. Thanks for the documentation, its helping a lot. :)

Hi Ron, at 3min 7sec you show an Excel spreadsheet that calculates bending. I wonder whether you can share the spreadsheet or post a link. Thanks.

I would be happy to send you the xls, but I don't know how since I don't have your e-mail?But I wouldn't worry too much about the calculation. It was very riugh, just to get a feel of the amount of stiffness required. I simplified the mast bending to a case of a clamped cantilever beam with a shear load at the end. The wing bending was simplified to a cantilever beam of half-wing-span long, clamped and with a distributed load. Both these loads are not very accurate, so it's really just an estimate. You can find the formula's on most mechanical engineering websites. Hope this helps a bit.

Thanks Ron. dmitrynizh/at/hotmail/com. BTW, I found a pretty good wing bending calc on rcgroups www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?1213427-Bagged-wing-layup-spreadsheet. Myself I wrote a simple torsion twist cals (for the mast) assuming elliptic profile.
