Honestly if you saw how much wire I have used trying to even get 1 open spiral to work you would be shocked...I wished I had found this spiral tutorial earlier...I have looked at so many other tutorials and could never get any of them to work....you have no idea how happy i am that on my first go I had an open spiral thank you so much Heather for sharing this!

Wow Diane. Thank you for your incredible feedback. You totally made my day. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions about wire art and jewelry making and share pics of your work on Facebook in the Wire Makers Club. I'd love it if you emailed me a pic of your spiral so I can share to inspire others! THANK YOU.

This is brilliant! I have spent hours trying to perfect the spiral and now realize I could have spent far less time. This is why out of all the wire artists out there, you are my favorite. Not only do you have clever ideas but you are able to show others how to do them without a lot of confusion. I am going to try this tonight. Thanks for sharing!

A terrific idea but I’m just curious into how will the artistic wire with a copper center hold it shape if you’re using it for some thing like pendants thank you enjoyed it
@HeatherBoydWire Жыл бұрын
You can use a thick 18g wire and work harden it with a mallet for a stronger spiral. Good luck!

Wow! This has got me thinking about other uses for the polymer clay. Do you think one could make shapes for a jig with the clay and then screw them onto a board? This would allow me to make some ovals and/or shapes with sharper corners.
@HeatherBoydWire2 жыл бұрын
That would probably work. You would need the nails for sharper bends. I have made jigs where I add buttons and beads to make larger shapes. I'll try to work on some ideas with the clay and get back to you ASAP. Great idea!
