nice work! using the drill press to maintain plumb is genius.

Really cool - I love the look and using the drill press to keep the lamp threaded rod centered and true while installing it was brilliant!

Thanks Ethan! 😊 Yeah it was a good hack that worked out really well! I was surprised - it actually came out perfectly 😍👌

Make a groove on the inside of one of the legs and out the bottom before assembly to accept the lamp cord. Makes for a much neater appearance, especially if the cord is brown or translucent. You can cut the groove just wide enough so the cord is friction fit or cut it deeper and cut a small strip to cover the cord entirely. Otherwise, great build and appearance.

Absolutely in awe! Didn't read the description and could not work out what you were making till the very end. Can't believe how much goes into each piece you make! Just incredible!

Thank you I appreciate that! 😀 Although I'm pretty sure I over complicate things TBH - there is probably a easier way 😂

It's a game changer for router templates!

I too am often afraid of the router. It is the scariest tool in my shop! Very cool design!

Thank you! I completely agree. There is so much power/speed in that little bit. I'm still scared every time I use it in the router table... 😱

@@mikeparsonscc buddy is there any template that i can download ? I did try to make a similar lamp but it is way too big. Even a sketch with the dimensions would work for me to understand.
@mikeparsonscc2 жыл бұрын
@@NansJohar Ohhh ok, no I don't sorry. I did it all by eye and it was so long ago now I have no idea of the dimensions - sorry 😟

@@mikeparsonscc no worries my friend.. I'll try to make a smaller version. Just hope that i don't waste much of material. God speed buddy. 🙏
@mikeparsonscc2 жыл бұрын
Maybe try with some cardboard or foam core first to create some prototypes? Before you start on more expensive materials 👌
