I also just bought a snow blower, This is why I found your video, I agree the longer the baords the better. I was suprised you did not secure the ramps before unloading the snow blower. I drilled holes and use a rachet straps to secure the ramp to the bumper. Thanks for sharing.
@undagroundrican25 күн бұрын
Hi, how did you drill the holes? I want to add rachet straps to this kit as well.
@BrFishWPB Жыл бұрын
My suggestion would be get a couple of ratchet straps and cinch the ramp to the bumper to prevent any chance of the ramps sliding off
@TheRealDeal6425 ай бұрын
This video just saved me $120. I was going to buy a ramp from harbor freight, but instead was looking into cheaper options. Totally worth it thanks!

Why did you flip the board? All you had to do was trace the hole on the top side?

Hey i made a set of these kinda ramps years ago and finally decided to try and make them better, any ideas on what to add to keep them from getting slippery when the slush and ice get on them?
@jfpjfpjfp16 күн бұрын
You can buy a roll of grip tape (like the top of a skateboard). That might work, sweep it off if it gets clogged up. I was thinking of doing this to my wood ramps.

I have these for my truck but I'm trying to come up with a way to "shrink them up". Thought about cutting them in half, throwing some hinges on them but don't know how to keep them closed? Any ideas?
@Aprons.Overalls2 жыл бұрын
I wish I knew. You would need some heavy duty hinges for that. Let me know if you figure it out!
@spencerdockter336 Жыл бұрын
If you put the hinge on the bottom it will stay tight just fine

Bungie cord with loops on either side of the bottom of the board?

@@James-dt7ky Now I understand your request. I actually was a bit more nervous taking the blower out of the truck than I was loading it. I wanted to make sure I could guide down the heavy machine without it going to fast. Pushing the machine up was no trouble at all. The longer the board you get, the easier it will be as the in-cline will be less steep. Good luck!

I don't have any ramps either and just bought a stump grinder that weighs 280 lbs, I'm going to try what you did and save some money.
@Aprons.Overalls2 жыл бұрын
This will be perfect for that. I use these ramps all the time. Super handy.
@wlouisharris2 жыл бұрын
Let me know how it goes. I have a 4 ft ramp I've used for a few years and it works ok. The problem is that the ramp is too steep. I'm going to try an 8 ft ramp for my 312lb Snapper riding mower. I'm a bit worried the boards won't hold the weight. The 4 ft held 312lbs w/o any problems.

Check the video description. I have a link for the brackets on Amazon.

I tried those ramps that you made and I had a problem with them falling off the truck when trying to drive my riding lawn mower or a tractor up there they were dangerous unless they could be physically attached to the truck
@TheDudeV129 күн бұрын
Yeah a bit awkward for a riding mower, this kind of ramp is fine for snowblowers though. You could try putting something to dig into the ground more or try wrapping a ratchet strap around the tail gate widthwise overtop of the metal part.

Absolutely. You simply push it up the ramps. Mine was not running when I loaded it.

Is the handle for the snowblower extra $?
@Aprons.Overalls2 жыл бұрын
Hello, Chris. No, the handle was not extra money. I have a cover on my truck so I removed the handle for easier transport. The handles are actually heated, though it's hard to tell when wearing gloves. Hope this video was helpful.
