I watched this video a while back and re-watched it a few more times. As of today, with inspiration from your build I built my version of your clamp rack. Well, almost completed. I still have to put the hinge on and try the dowels. I have 2 layers holding 6 36" F clamps, 6 12" F clamps, 12 6" F clamp, and 8 quick grip clamps. Thank you for the inspiration.

This is the first time I've seen recessed french cleats. This method looks a lot more secure with the entire unit flat to the wall instead of sitting on cleat rails.

Just came across your channel, the cleat method of hanging wall mounted furniture, is my favorite !!!!. For space saving ideas mabe build a wall mounted router table. The router table to me is as important if not more important as the miter saw. But never seems to be enough room for both. You got a new subscriber.

Lovely build, excellent design and nice short to-the-point video. Well done! The mechanism to keep the 'doors' closed are also quite good; I was about to suggest neodymium magnets, but your solution prevents the doors from getting crooked. You could probably make some kind of support and still use neodymium magnets, though.

Is there any reason you fitted the hinges on the outside like that rather than on the edges of the sides with just the barrel showing?
@Marcus_Caius6 жыл бұрын
Either way do not make it stronger, my guess is mostly preferences. However having the hinges from the inside would create a gap. Not that a gap would be a big deal but still a gap.

Good useable project. I might reinforce those butt joints a little more - maybe a locking rabbet or something. Maybe biscuits or dowels. But - someone is clearly sponsored by a tool company. As much a commercial as a how-to! Still - a good quick video on a useful shop addition.

I’m curious as to how you acquired a Ridgid Superclamp system, I can’t find it anywhere online.
@ToolsToday5 жыл бұрын
Hello we are checking for you.
@TysonMooreBuilds5 жыл бұрын
Hey there Dean! Thanks so much for the question. So the unfortunate answer is that Ridgid came out with them as a temporary run and they were in stores only for a limited time about a year or so ago. They no longer make them which stinks because I would get another one! But I have noticed that it seems that the Rockwell Jawhorse on Amazon seems like it functions nearly identical. Either way, I find that this type of system is very valuable. I use it all the time!

Nice design and video on the build although it gets a little too much of a commercial for your sponsors that can be done by just camera angles Although i did Woodworking professionally for over 20 years and much longer as a hobby i have no problems with Amanda and do own many of their products. They. Cwetainly are not the only game in town. And or necessarily the best for every Woodworkers needs as you tried too hard to emphasize in the video or perhaps are instructed to scipted by the. Sponsors It sort of takes away. Some of the integrity As PBS learned years ago that led to them letting. Go. Of BobVilla in his heyday In the big picture that led him to be a sell out to anyone that would pay him a few bucks for him to endorse their product i was in construction at that time and most everyone i knew couldn’t. Stand him but always liked Norm Abrams. And respected him highly for his knowledge. In the trades
