I just joined your subscription, and its TWO YRS OLD. I am so in love with these ADORABLE Gingerbread People. Its the month of May. 2022, I live here in the States, I live in Michigan and very close to a little town called FRANKENMUTH. We have a Christmas store there that is one of the World's Biggest Christmas stores. People come all around the world to visit this little town. I love to craft and I'm just getting into a lot of fake bake groups on my FB. I enjoyed watching this video and you are so creative. I love how you showed so much details and explained so clear on how everything was done and showed so many ways on how it can be done. Your tree turned out STUNNING🎄 I now want to make me some Gingerbread People. Summer will be a good time to start😊 Can't wait to watch more of your creativity💓

Tank you Barbara, I actually mentioned Bronner's many times before in my old videos, it's one of my fav Christmas store! I also have posted a video of me shopping in there, because I used to live in Michigan as well. Glad you liked my tutorials..I have so many other ideas I want to share in the future, so hopefully I will settle into a new home soon where I can start filming again 😊

Would have loved to have seen a gingerbread star at the top of your tree. It is the cutest tree ever! I’m doing a gingerbread theme in my kitchen this year. Adorable! And you’re so creative. I used to make salt dough, which I learned from my grandmother, and I would press it into clay cookie molds. I had a Christmas mouse, an angel, a tin soldier. And then I would paint them. I love how you’re showing different techniques with different mediums. These are adorable! Thank you so much for sharing with us.

Hi Lara, love this video!! I've been making dough ornaments for almost 20 years. I always let mine air dry outside, I try to make all of mine during the summer when it is hot outside and they dry a lot quicker. I found out quickly that if you bake them, they lose their shape or swell up. I will try to make some like yours, I might make mine out of matting board instead and decorate them with slick material paints. I ran out of time for a Christmas DIY video for my dough ornaments but will make a video for Valentine on how to make them. I decorate a tree branch with Valentine ornaments as well as a Halloween Tree. I am new to this KZbin craft video world but am having so much fun making videos and sharing my ideas with other crafters and friends and discovering wonderful talented persons like yourself. Merry Christmas Friend!!

@@LaraKnowsBest Hi Lara, if you are thinking of white Christmases here in Canada, well here where I live in Southern Ontario there hasn't been any real big snowfalls for Christmas for a long time. When I was growing up we always had lots of snow all winter long sometimes so deep we couldn't open the door to get outside! I don't know if it's the climate changing that has an impact on our Christmas weather or not but for many years now we seem to get very little snow for Christmas for the most part or sometimes none at all😕! I'm happy just to get enough snow to make the ground a little bit white! We tend to get larger amounts of snow in January and February. Western Canada like in British Columbia and Alberta almost always get alot of snow. Take care, 😊

OMG Noooo!!😱...I didn't put the foam in the oven I've attached it later with glue. Never put the foam in the oven is not safe. It's is clearly explained in the video.

@@LaraKnowsBest it’s a shame that I can’t send you a picture of your GB Boy to demonstrate it but I watch the video again and I still see the white Fosm beneath him. You can I think is in the 28:48 minute . And also how many minutes long did you put the gingerbread when u put them like 2nd time on the oven❓❓
@LaraKnowsBest2 жыл бұрын
@@kikizag , Oh I see, I think it was just for like 3 minutes to harden the few details I added on the top. Honestly polymer clay is pretty toxic itself, much worse than the foam. It is recommended to have a small little oven just for DIY's to bake clay, cause is not ideal to cook food in the same oven. Ever since I moved to the new house I am using a separate oven for clay or let it hair dry.

Hey Denise, if you are bad at drawing just look for gingerbread patterns online,..have a goole search. Also if you don't have an oven I would suggest you to let it air dry. It takes longer, but as you can see from my video, that way the result is better. 😉
