DIY Yard Trailer - Ep. 1

I need to move things around my yard. I could just go buy a wheelbarrow, or better yet, a garden trailer, but a maker's gonna make and I can do better.
In this episode I get started welding the main frame, machining the axles, and end up with a rolling mock-up.

I built it mostly from materials I had laying around, especially all the 1” square tubing, so there were never any drawings done ahead of time or anything. I could measure it but the dimensions aren’t important. If you watch the whole series you’ll get the idea of how it was made and can substitute your own dimensions to suit your needs.

Why not use a mig welder which is a lot faster.
