WOW, welcome to dandruff rock. Joking guy. What you have here is totally terrific! I have never seen this effect done before. Thankyou for your total dedication to detail and performance. What do fish think of this? do they keep trying to eat the sand? do they get sucked in to the input?

Dude! I have been working on a sandfall for a while with several failed prototypes with the air stone 😝 Just bought the water pump and was going to use tubing along with the pvc pipe! And BAM, you brought it to life! Thank you for the inspiration and proof that it can work! So appreciate your sharing! 👏👏👏👏👏

OMG this is your best build yet!! Can you please do a 20G long aquascape for an axolotl? My guy will be needing new digs as he gets bigger but axolotls have different requirements being cold water and low light. They also tend to eat their substrate so need sand, bare bottom, etc (nothing they can fit in their mouths). Since they also spend most of their time on the bottom, I would imagine a sloped substrate would also be an issue but it looks so much better!

Oh wow that effect is very very cool. I'm imagining this could be so awesome with Shell dwellers maybe because the substrate would be sand anyway and if you would silicone everything and make sure they cant move the rocks or pipes by moving the sand around it would be possible! Thats obviously not an option for you now that you have everything set up but you're a great inspiration :) Maybe you could stock this tank with small colorfull fish so they fit the scale of the scape and make the waterfalls look bigger :D I'm thinking killifish or something like that

This tank is such a beauty! I love it! My recommendation for fish for this tank would be butterfly catfish. I think they would really give it a good effect of birds flying around a waterfall...and obviously it'll need some sort of shrimp lol. If you can get some varr. green or green jade ones I think they would make a sweet lizard/reptile feeling too

wooooow this was amazing, you never cease to blow me away with your fantastic scapes and this one in particular really turned out well, it's like a miniature world! This is definitely rivalling the desert scape for my favourite tank of yours. No matter what the scape I always want to see CPD's but you know what, for this tank I'd absolutely love to see some Pseudomugil signifer or if you could get hold of them Pseudomugil cyanodorsalis(even gertrudae would look really great) I think they'd look so fantasy like in that particular setting, really otherwordly. Love you work!

I just made and gave up on mine. I carved a solid piece of featherlite stone. had to anchor it down with legs and a catch basin on slate (it was a floater) hooked it all up and it worked. Built tank (it's a dirted setup). Wasn't happy with my basin set up and it was super tall for substrate so I pulled it all out rebuilt tested flow in tub with no sand and water was flowing out through the collection t part but if I blocked it as sand might it flowed. Maybe this was indication I did not restrict flow enough. Rebuilt tank hooked it up. No dice. Cut my hand up trying to find problem. There was no flow through my T inlet. Maybe my plastic modifications of it wasn't deep enough it was more than half way but not as deep as yours and bogged with silicone. Tried to fiddle with it but I really can't make adjustments with out ripping it all apart again. Was contemplating using the air bubbler but would need to cut pipes underneath but would need to rip it all apart to do it..... So frustrated but after an entire week of working it every day and a looming fish auction date I'm just going to live with no falls. So frustrating. Still contemplating pulling it apart because I seriously put 20+ hours into building and it would be so cool...... #frustration
