I don´t like it that you are using straws in different Colors in a rather chaotic way (no symmetry detectable!) and that the straws are on the outside of the star at one side and on the inside at the other side of the star that looks so very sloppy in this otherwise cute DIY. Additionally how exactly are you illuminating your star? Why don´t you mention that there is at least a resistance needed when using leds in combination with a battery and how do you get the leds flickering what IC are you using (and where do I get that from?) Or are you using special leds - again where can I get them?
