Hi !! First off, you know what my favorite is, ALL OF THEM !! Another great job Candi, as usual!! Second, you must have a bigger Joanns Thelma I do, I can never find the pretty glam fabric bling. The one and only one I found was wayyyyyyy out of my price range !! But, you use what you have. I got settled and all moved in at my daughters, the rest of my things are in a storage unit. Hi My friend Marie!! I'm so glad you like these!! I do buy nearly all of my trims from Jo-Ann Fabrics. But I watch for sales and I use their coupons (they always have a 40% off on line) to keep the cost down. The brands I use the most are Yaha and Mark Richards Additions. I have a good local Jo-Ann's where they usually have them in stock. But if you can't find them at yours try online. Also I downloaded the AP for additional savings and deals. In your description you have acrylic paint. Is it for glass or any acrlic paint?

Hi Cindy. My paint of choice is a water based, multi surface acrylic paint. it can be used on wood, canvas, metal, glass, glazed ceramics, paper, and terra cotta but I typically use it on glass. I like that it's water based though because it's much easier to clean up.

Hi Lisa!! From what I have experienced the Dollar Tree paint doesn't cover as well. The paint I use most often is Treasure Gold by Folk Art. But, the only I can suggest is applying multiple coats and letting the coats dry for several hours in between. That might help.

I just have started painting my vase, how do you get your paint to be so smooth? Once I got the first layer on and started the second, it became sticky and clumpy. I shook the paint, I thought very well. Do you have any suggestions for me? None of my vases, even with different paint colors have turned out like yours

Hi Amanda! What brand of paint did you use? It sounds like you started correctly by shaking the paint. Did you also clean the piece with alcohol? That helps. Also make sure the brush is made for acrylic paint. You also may have put too much paint on in the first coat. Go very light, keep the stokes even and in the same direction as much as possible. Then let that first coat dry for a couple of hours before you apply the second coat. I hope that helps. Please feel free to email me if you need more help or have any other questions.
