I generally love the idea that ghosts are just regular ass people who happened to be dead. Like they're just chilling in their houses minding their own business and then they have to contend with random folks coming in and trying to make small talk, or get them to do tricks for a camera when they just want to be left alone lmao. And them progressively getting more annoyed with living humans getting amazed or scared by the smallest things, and eventually being like 'dude, please leave' in the most nonchalant, irritated way of someone whose evening is being interrupted, but living humans just run away screaming.

Katelyn's dad and brother showing up to mess with them is honestly the truest ghost hunting experience I've ever seen lol I saw a post on the internet once from someone talking about the time a ghost hunting TV show came to their town's famous haunted building, and more or less every teenager in town made a point of going out late that night and messing around outside the building, like tapping pipes or whispering against windows or randomly screaming nearby.
@Fyreflier

that's from a tumblr post thecheshiresmiles first posted: everytime I hear about children of the corn I think about the guy I met at comic con who actually lived in the town they filmed that movie at, and on the farm where they filmed in the corn. he was a teenager at the time and him and his friends would get drunk on moonshine and rustle the corn and let the air out of the tires of the production team’s trailers and s**t. and now there’s Wikipedia pages about how the children of the corn set was haunted and they thought they angered god but it was really just drunk hillbillies then trashcandean replied: I don’t like adding to posts but I also have a funny story like this, so I was watching the movie the Blair witch which takes place in burkettsville maryland, which to me is so funny because that is were my grandfather lives and the town is literally just old people and cows with their main street consisting of a post office. Well anyway he told me that after it came out people were coming in like bus loads to the town to find the witch and my grandfather lives up in the Mountain area and people were up in his property trying to find the witch and it made him angry so he went out and hung up stick people and stacked rocks and it freaked the people out so they started thinking something was out there when really it was my 80 year old Italian grandpa who wanted people out of his woods. and then finally came ginathethundergoddess: We had ghost hunters come to a historic house in my town to film and if you think every high school kid in town respectfully stayed at home that night instead of going to f**k up that filming you’re dead wrong.

I actually have a story like this! Ghost Hunters (the TV show) came to my town to investigate our local abandoned mental hospital (has sense been torn down sadly). One of their "biggest finds to date" is a figure they caught on thermal camera walking through the woods near the cemetery. The day after that episode aired everyone in my school was talking about it, and we found out the figure they saw, was my classmate's dad who was a police officer that was patrolling the edge of the property to make sure teens didn't go mess with the film crew 😂 Edit: Found it! By the way, those little doors leading to the exterior used to be for bringing wood inside. For example, if there was a wood fire stove in the home, they'd stack up the wood close to the outside of the house near the little door. That way, you could just open it up and chuck a few logs in without having to haul the wood that far.

@@djAnakin Prove it. And before you counter by saying that it's up to the person making a claim to provide proof, 'ghosts don't exist' is every bit as much a claim as 'ghosts do exist'. You can say there's no reliable evidence that ghosts exist, that tests like this are highly flawed and easily falsified, and that alleged instances of paranormal activity have often been proven to have other explanations. But once you start making blanket statements like this as if they're facts, the burden of proof swings back to you. So, let's have it. Or we can get over ourselves and let people have fun. Up to you!

Just some advice I have to give with the dousing rods it's always suggested that you establish a yes and no before asking questions, it makes it easier to get full and clear responses instead of just the rods spinning and giving confusing answers. With the board it's not actually the spirit moving it, it's the spirit using your bodies to channel energy and use you to move it. I do a lot of ghost hunting research and get tons of info about the tools used for it!

The part of my mothers family (all greek) is really spiritual and we actually are blessed with the gift to feel the presence of a soul. My mother can even hear them and they send her visions sometimes... I just kinda feel when they say something, but I can't understand it, if that makes sense. I feel them and I even feel it, when they touch me, like the touch of another living person. I grew up without knowing of what I was capable of and it always scared me to the point where I had panic attacks as a child. My mother talked to me and my sister about it, as we grew older and it opened my eyes why I felt all of that stuff, I wasn't going crazy, I am just open and sensitive enough to feel the other side. So when you take it exactly, everywhere is a haunted place, even your home. We are surrounded by the dead, without even noticing it. I know when my grandmother is with us, because her presence is so strong. I also feel, if the energy is good or bad. The bad stuff is really triggering. I always ask god for help, to protect me and take those bad spirits away. Another thing, always be respectful. Katelyn was 100% right, when she said to Evan, not to ask about bad ghosts. Another thing, emotions can be a reason too, why certain kind of spirits visit you. Like when you're feeling bad and you're kinda in a bad mind place, it's possible to attract bad spirits. And with bad I don't mean necessary evil, more like spirits that feel lost and also share the feelings you have. They sense your energy like a magnet. A story that I can't get over: my mother had unfortunately one experience with an Italian man, who was into dark magic, like he attracted bad spirits, kinda like demons, even though I don't know if that is correct, what his spirits actually are. The guy was the ex of my mothers friend and he didn't let his ex alone. So my mother tried to take a look into his mind what he did not welcome. He is a really powerful man and sent one of his "demons" to my home, to warn my mother. My father is easy to wake up, when he falls asleep. One night, when my mother went to bed after my dad, there was this spirit to warn my mother, that his (the Italians) actions are non of her business. The thing was standing next to my father, who was into a deep sleep and she couldn't wake him up. She got so angry and told it to go away immediately and asked god for help. After it finally disappeared, my father woke up. That story haunts me until this day and makes me so respectful and also frightend of the other side. There are powers and things, we can't see and understand. I'm 24 years old know and since I remember I have this close connection with dead. I still get frightend, when someone appears without a warning and talk to me. Another story; we had a brother that died after he was born. My mother never told us. My sister and I were in our bedroom, when we both noticed a spirit appearing in the exact same moment. He felt like no stranger, like we knew him, but we didn't actually know who he was. His presence was comforting and nice. My sister had this feeling, that he is a sibling. We asked our mother about it and she started crying immediately. She couldn't believe, that we felt his presence. It was so sad and also so precious. So yeah... being able to feel all of that is a blessing and a curse. It still scares me, but also gives me hope.. You don't have to believe me, I just wanted to share my experience with it, cause it has such a heavy impact on my life. I loved watching this video, it felt so authentic, without all those weird stuff, from other ghost hunters. Thank you for that, I would love to see another video like that in the future.❤ (Sorry for my English, German is my native language)

If you set the rods up so that the vibrations of your hands don't convert their kinetic energy then ask questions, they don't move. I can only get them to move while holding them, it's impossible to remain completely still.

I love this, this is exactly how I would be ghost hunting, too! Just as interested in the animals as the ghosts and just asking the ghosts whether they like me or not haha. If I had bought a ouija board as a teen, it absolutely would've been Emily the Strange, too...I was super into Emily the Strange. Memories~

Evan and Katelyn. You both make my day so much better. My home got broken into today. Stole the ps5 along with all the bells and whistles as well as a gun. I’m heat broken and all I could think about while filing a police report is. I need a Evan and Katelyn video to pick me back up. You both truly are a blessing.

I like how in this video, Evan and Katelyn leave when the ghost asks, and are respectful to the ghost unlike in other ghost videos I've seen, when ghosts repeatedly tell people to leave, but they don't. Also, I would love to see you collaborate with some ghost hunting channels! I think it would also be fun to see more independent ghost hunting as well!

Maybe next time you do one of these you should try the estis method, which allows one person to be blindfolded and wear headphones to the spirit box. The other person askes questions and the one wearing the headphones will just repeat what they hear, they cannot hear the questions.

Was hesitant to write a comment on this video. But since you have chosen to actually delve into ghost hunting you should know that some people consider it disrespectful to the dead, although you were definitely doing a better job then most. It'll be better if you leave a small offering to spirits, like a little alcohol or bit of food generally, or even flowers. And do please make sure to they aren't allowed to follow you.

@thespankmyfrank
@thespankmyfrank Жыл бұрын
I don't think they were faking it, it's just that ideomotor response makes you move it without intending to. Even though Evan was probably trying to stay completely still, he simply can't. Without intending to he made the rods move where he unconsciously wanted them to.

It was a good vidéo ! An advice for next time, when doing the dowsing rods make sure to say something like "for yes, go to the left, for no, go to the right" when you're asking a question. With that method, if there is an entity, they will know what to do to answer.
