I saw someone mixed the mod podge with the glitter and then apply it. I haven't tried it yet, but it seemed to work. I love your videos - I am a new subscriber.

Hello Iretha. Thank you so much for joining. 💌I have tried it that way to for different things. It does work. Especially if you want the glitter to be too heavy.

Beautiful !! Will that spray work on crushed glass too ?
@DIYDesignByCCW3 жыл бұрын
Hi Marva!! Thank you!! I'm so glad you like this one. To lock in crush glass I would add another layer of mod podge gloss on top after that the glass sets, instead of the Krylon spray, just because the glass is heavier.

Good evening I am new this type of DIY . When painting any vase do I spray paint on the inside of the vase or outside? Can I use any paint for glass ?
@DIYDesignByCCW Жыл бұрын
Hi Rhonda!! When I did this vase, it was painted on the inside with spray paint. It was one of my early pieces like this. I don't use spray paint as much any more. I now use a multi surface paint on the outside of the glass and or a paint called treasure gold, also by folk art. The multi purpose paint is self sealing (is typically in a matte or satin finish) and can be air cured or oven fired (I typically air cure) so that you can wash the pieces. The treasure gold paint is a metallic paint that must be sealed before you can put it in water. The spray paint doesn't last as long and you can't put the piece in water typically although you can try to seal it. The reason some paint on the inside is that the glass finish is very pretty. It also works well when you are adding glitter or crushed glass. But if you want to put flowers in your vase, or use your piece for storage or as a candle holder etc., then painting on the outside is better. I hope this helps and thanks again for watching. If you need any additional help, please feel free to email me anytime.

I think you should out your camera at the end of your table a little high up pointing down on your work. Just a suggestion. I like your work! 😁 This way you don't have to worry about your arm being in the way. 😁

Awesome ! What did you coat it with so the glitter won’t come off?
@DIYDesignByCCW3 жыл бұрын
Hi Azia!! I'm so glad you like this one! I use Krylon Clear coat after the glitter dries completely. Mod Podge makes a spray that works quite well too. Thanks again for stopping by!!!

Hi Jan!! Thanks for stopping by. I took my time when I sprayed the inside and I was able to avoid the paint running fortunately. If I recall I did three coats and them dry in between. Thanks again for watching the video and commenting!!

I love your work. I am going to try this one. Do you pat the glitter down?
@DIYDesignByCCW3 жыл бұрын
Hi Dana!! I'm so happy you enjoy my work. So the glitter, if you mix it in the mod podge, doesn't have to be patted down, just the seed beads. I'm so glad you plan to make them. Please let me know how they turn out!! Thank you again and happy holidays!!

Did you mix your mod podge with water? It was very drippy
@nicitamoses83233 жыл бұрын
What type of Mode podge are you using are there different types?
@DIYDesignByCCW3 жыл бұрын
Hi Nicita. I'm using gloss in this one I believe. Yes there are many types. The gloss dries clear with a shine. To name a few there's Matte, Satin, Ultra and so on. And then there's one for paper and one for fabric. It also comes as a spray sealant. I would go there web site (Plaid is the parent company). They make Mod Podge, and also Folk Art paints. That way you can see all the different types and how to use them. And you can order from their site too.

Your vase is beautiful but u are loosing so much of your glitter by not having it on paper and using a little less modge pod you should recollect the loose glitter to reuse.
