I experimented and dropped in a packet of red punch, and it came out the same color. It didn't appear to filter anything. _Note: This happened with the small replacement one, the one you have._ _The longer one worked fine._ _Maybe, the smaller ones only filter the bigger particles?_

You doing the wrong way ! You need to socks the filter for 15 minutes and rinsed for 15 seconds and assemble

Got the newer version, very disappointing purchase. It takes a very very long time to filter and that’s not the bad part. It also slowly leaks and now I have to clean up a puddle every week from my fridge.

Should have exchange it. Some times the filters need to be re rinsed with water or submerged in a tall glass for the directed amount of time or under the faucet. It tells you this in the instructions/trouble shooting. With the leak, an exchange would have taken place. I have had mine for
