Did JLCPCB solder all the relays and everything on? When I load the BOM into there website, it doesn’t even show the through hole parts.

I'm going for the diyBMS when i get around to building some packs. A lot more fun than the batrium way, for a lot less money. One feature request would be to offer a 8S or 16S single board, to rival the typical daly BMS off aliexpress.

Hi Daniel, the new controller from Stuart has an RS485 interface. Could the data from the PCM60X be read out there and displayed in the DIY BMS software? It would be interesting to run that together with the new Current monitor. In your Esperyd? S Raspberry PI project, everything is going very well for the Batrium system. Top video 👍

:) Inte så kompakt för EV delar man för större system är det helt ok. Sedan går det ju bygga om modulerna så man kör 4 på varje kort o.s.v :)

:) Thanks! Retire Batrium im not sure. Its a diy product vs enterprise. For expansion for sure DIY BMS due to the cost and i also can do my own work with it if i want to change something. We will see what the future holds. DIY BMS 4.2 for sure have come far way :) But there is alot left to do. Once again its DIY :)

Really loving your channel man, great work! This diybms thing is really nice, I'm getting into this world and trying to learn and research as much as I can. However I've checked both diiybms github and also Stuart videos and I'm not able to get my mind around how this will connect to the final AC/Solar power system?. Would the inverter connect/AC charger (let's say it's an all in one) to the RE1 and RE2 inputs on the board? Is there a place where you learn more about how to connect it?. I've seen some of your videos where you use a relay board but not sure why is that either, what those relay board will control? Thanks!

The bms is to take Care of the battery and dont Care about the battery. To disconnect the battery from load i would recommend a shunt trip breaker like the ABB s3 or s5. Then IF There is a fault DIY bms can trigger it and disconnect the battery from the inverter

do you have plans to design your own BMS or are you content with the ones that already exist? I wonder why I have not seen someone who can handle higher Amps or someone who gives those opportunities (knows that it should not be needed if the cells have the same capacity). One thought I got before was why does not someone use 8266 for the cells and the communication via Wifi and then I thought that it "should" be enough to control a pin with a transistor that then controls a MOSFET over a resistor and then controls all of them with a ESP32 or an RPi (I know nothing about programming so do not even know if it would work) glömde BLÄÄÄÄ ;-)

I have have done my fair share with my own bms but its not worth it and i instead now follow Stuarts design. Higher amps as in what? 500A? or more? Several exist. you can get several 1000A if you want but they will cost you. Using 8266 on each is not viable since they 1. take to much power. 2. need higher voltage. 3. wifi will be overwhelmed with clients unless you have enterprise network. FOr instance this setup uses ESP as master and then the slave nodes run attiny 844 that are small and tiny and can run on very low voltage as well :)

@@DIYTechRepairs OK då har jag svaret varför man inte ser nån som gjort det och det var ballenseringen jag tänkte på då den i många fall är låg (typ 50-200mA ) men hur mycket klarar dessa bränna bort ? och varför påpeka du flera ggr att det är DIY? är det att det finns buggar eller inte är pålitligt som de färdiga eller är det för det är lödning som krävs ? ( var väll ganska lite lödning om man köper dem färdiga ? men vad kostade de färdiglödda ?

@@jadu79 det är skillnad på timmarna som är nedlagda på detta jämfört med ett köpe. Det står också i Stuarts information om det. Dessa ligger på 600+. Beror på version och spänning. Långt mer än vad man oftast behöver

@@DIYTechRepairs Jag inser att det är mycket tid nedlagt på dessa men min fråga var om de inte var lika pålitliga som färdiga BMSer och vad priset blir /st om man beställer dem färdiga från typ JLCPCB och jag har inte sett nått om hur mycket det kan bränna bort från ett LiFe 3,6v eller LiPo 4,2v (kolla lite men hitta inget men det brukar vara lågt därav frågan)
