Yay I actually requested this!Dizzee was the guy who moved me from American rap when I was in school, all I listened too before was DMX, 50 cent, and Eminem. Dizzee is on a Whole different level he has some amazing songs and amazing freestyles on Westwood, check out Jus a rascal from his first album boy in da corner, it was a game changer!! Also Tinie Tempah and his early stuff his newer stuff is dog shit in comparison and 1 more tinchy stryder he grew up on the same estate as dizzee and has some truly sick tunes too!

It was definitely intended to appeal to a wider audience, but the track stays true to the album Without that wider audience would he be where he is now? Some say that was where Wiley fucked up, if he had had one or two tracks like that he'd have gained the following and probably grown alongside Dizzee

Grime is all about being able to catch any beat usually (140bpm) and spit fire. Dizzie has bars for days and is one of the few that can do pop and keep the respect of the grime scene.

I don't know how it is in the US, but UK rappers and grime artists tend to come up doing freestyles for local radio, cyphers, and small venues, so most UK rappers wouldn't have much of a problem putting out a passable 5 fingers because they've done shit like that 1000 times. Grime also lends itself well to other beats, and you can spit the same lyrics with the same flow over pretty much any beat just by switching up the tempo a little. There are probably some who can and do, but for the most part, UK rappers don't have the option to hide behind production value, editing, or lyrics on their iPhones to disguise the fact that they can't freestyle for shit.

Seriously so much love for you putting Dizzee on here. He is one of the originals in this UK grime/rap I’ve been listening to him since I was 15 and I’m 32 now! Back then we didn’t have songs just had about 20-30 sets of bars and used to jump on beats as the DJ switched it up. Gotta watch Dizzee and the Newham generals with Westwood sums up how it used to be. So hard, much love for what you do don’t stop till you make it bro
