I wish I could remember the jazz musician who said "Rock and roll is kindergarten music compared to jazz." I can't seem to find it on Google but I remember in my childhood when watching a jazz concert on TV with my Dad, he said it when he was being interviewed.

This is good, and a visual of the band is great to see. This version lacks the gravitas, focus and punch of the 1945 original, which had Big Sid on drums.

To John Blinsky: Cannonball was never with Diz. He wasn't even known back then (1947). The drummer wasn't Max. He doesn't look a bit like him.

Although that was not Cannonball, he did spend a short amount of time with Dizzy after he moved to NY before going with Miles for the first time.

This is an overdub or a "lip-sync". Watch Dizzy during his solo. He can't take a breath and have sound come out of the horn. The words "Salt peanuts" aren't right either. Why is that so much louder?
