DJ Akademiks addressed rumors about the speculated Drake and Future beef and dispelled the idea that the disagreement revolved around pillow talk or a woman, explaining it must be something much deeper. Akademiks speculated that it could be related to Drake's choice to do a joint album with 21 Savage and not Future, following Drake's trend of capitalizing and benefiting from his cosign. Notably, he mentioned that perceived disrespect could be a contributing factor, referencing Drake's reported petty responses when he begins to have a problem with someone. Given Drake and Future's success together, Akademiks asserted that the fallout between Drake and Future cannot simply be over women or minor issues.
