Way way back when i started my blog (thaorginalhiphop.blogspot.com) i met a lot of die hard dj’s, mixtape fanatics and people with a lot of knowledge like Tapemasta, Olskool4real, Brandan, The Diggers Union & my man DJ Books (The Thieves Theme). Through the blog i learned about my man Books mixtapes and was directly hooked on his mixtapes. I love the way he does the best of mixes and put in the work to find the best and hard to find songs for his mixes. Around that time i came up with the idea to do a mixtape series which pays tribute to the real mixtapes from the 90s. Because i’m a big fan of Books mixtapes i wanted him to be the first one to drop an mixtape for my mixtape series. When Books said yes i’ll do a mix for ya & hooked me up with a Juice Crew mixtape for my blog i was so happy. Just to let you know i’m blessed i got to know Books and got a lot of respect for this man & his dj skills.
