Ayó is Garifuna for Goodbye. Sometimes you say goodbye when you begin a journey, or when leaving a newly discovered place while waving at the people who've just inspired you.
Belize's beauty, heart, culture and soul impacted me to the core and I left a transformed man, so in my case I was able to say goodbye to a former self. Belize will show you her incredible wonders if you let her. The people, their vast cultural melting pot and combined histories can propel your spiritual growth as a human. I highly recommend you go and explore this beautiful place
In 7 days I saw way more than thought possible. I visited Hopkins, Dangriga (Cultural capital of Belize), Placencia, Punta Gorda, Lubaantun mayan ruins, Maya center, Belize city, Belmopan (capital of Belize) and the Bocawina wildlife reserve & Mayan ruins. Met and dined with new incredible people everyday. Met members of the Garifuna and Mayan tribes and they both took the time to tell me about their history and showed me their current lifestyles. Even had a chance to recorded music award winning Belizean producer Junimar.
