What a monster of a jam. Like someone else here said, it should’ve been bigger. The samples are genius - combining Strafe’s drum programming with the Talking Heads sample and then layering in Grace Jones for the chorus. On top of all that you have Kool Chip’s powerful, perfectly enunciated lyrics that are masterfully crafted for mass appeal - hardcore Hip Hop fans could dig it, right through to basically anyone who’d gone out to a club to dance, through to fans of popular radio-friendly hip hop. Genius track.
