Dominickd16 is right, that setup is a really great start to a mixing setup. Much better than most people start out at. But yeah you wont be dissapointed if you buy those!.

One thing... I hate looking at a computer screen while I am mixing. I used to have Traktor Scratch, brilliant system, let me find tracks easily and it was tight as anything. Its just I did not like looking at a computer monitor while doing a mix.

It controls how much bass, mid or trebble goes to the output :). It also controls the volume of the input aswell.

Yeah I just do not like relying on a computer in the equasion full stop. Also I find that when you use a usb drive of some sort it tends to put some faint line noise through the system. Its only noticable at high volumes but Its still there. On the other hand im not a fan of the Denon's with the Spinning platter, its just personal preference really as you say, whatever works for people is great.
