After listening to other mashups i realize how good this mashup is. I think the secret to its success is that there's an actual structure. There is a part that keeps coming back; a sort of chorus... the part where it goes "Blame it on the pop, blame it on the dance, blame it on the rock and roll". Most mashups lack this sort of structure. It's just such an amazing mashup, and nostalgia only makes it better each year!!

Story Time. My first son passed away in 2009. I couldn't listen to these songs for years. It brings tears to my eyes now, in a whole different way. In the moment, the pain was insurmountable. 12 years later, it's become a reminder of how far we can go, despite the despair.
