I'm a wedding photographer/videographer. Our average number of guests at the receptions we cover is 250. It's not rare to have up to 400 guests. In September we had a wedding with over 650 guests. We Mexicans love to party lol

A couple tips. If you’re going with an all white setup, get yourself white gaffers tape and all white XLR and power cables. It will look extra clean. Also, your tape job looks like train tracks. Tape it long ways, not a bunch of strips sideways the way you have it. Trust me, it will improve your overall look and will look so much better in photos/videos.

How was the echo in the building? Lighting looked good but they had way too much venue lighting going on during the dance party to really set a nice ambiance.

I completely agree. I asked for the lights to be dimmed during the open dance several times but they just couldn't or wouldn't make it happen. I had to just roll with it and make the best of the situation. Had they been able to dim the lights, my light show would have looked so much better. Room sound acoustics were great to me!

@@DJ2Legit007 Yup i hear that I did a wedding last Saturday and I guess some of the older ladies complained that it was too dark so on the buffet side all the lights were on. So one side of the venue had lights on and the other half didn’t by the Dancefloor where I was set up. It was lame and the bride was not happy with the decision. Sometimes it’s out of our control and to be honest there was still plenty of dim lighting plus my uplighting so i didn’t see what the huge deal was.

I wouldn't say I "needed" it. More like I just "wanted" it because it looks so cool with my other lights running the light show from Soundswitch. Won't let you load in the door? Dude, there's no way you're lifting UP a loading dock. That's a simple "hey, I'm not going to get hurt doing this - the ramp is perfectly fine. Just open the door so I can get in". Vendor meals always make me laugh. Never once had one. I get the normal meal. Ya'll aren't giving me some cold crusty sandwich and a bag of chips. Make friends with the venue staff and they'll treat you real right. Love the all white look - rock the same for my personal system, too. Given your controller sits on the table I'd recommend just throwing a small short table shield around your road case. Would mask it off and make it look crisp. Honestly, to complete that system I HIGHLY recommend grabbing one of Danny Max's booths. You will look FLY and it'll actually load all on a single cart. It's not cheap, but brother...it makes life SO much easier. IF you like that style with the closed front I recommend the Edge L. Nice mic work. Crowd was HYPED. Nice gig log.

I love my 2Legit T-Style booth. I already look FLY. 😉 Not interested in Danny Max, Joe Bunn or (insert your favorite booth here). I want my spinning platters visible and not hidden. My table weighs 7 lbs. I love it! If anything I am gonna do even better cable management for my laptop power cord and USB cord. I didn't like how they were dangling when looking back on the video. Thanks for your comments!
@MBrulla
@MBrulla 7 ай бұрын
@@DJ2Legit007 I'm 100% with you on that! That's actually why I moved to it. I use both the Roland 707m and the Rane One. When I'm using the Rane I want not only me, but everyone around me, to see them in all their spinning glory. No worries - if you're happy with what you're rocking that's a good thing. Easy way to clean up the laptop cables is to run them all via a single USB-C. Snag one of the hubs that allows both PD and data and then connect your laptop with a single white cable. That's what I do and it's clean as hell. Use a right angled plug for the true crispy look.

Normally I would not put all that stuff behind the ceremony area, but damn you made it nice and clean. It actually enhanced the scene and apparently the bride and her father approved. Way to be professional. Screw that load in/out. I've had similar and it sucks. We were at a ski lodge and the room was RIGHT next to the front entrance and I had to go down a ramp, around the side to a loading dock, which was too high for my van so we had to walk up stairs, load it onto a cart, down a hall, up an elevator, through the kitchen and across the hallway. Screw that.

Great setup, looks really clean...I am digging that white on white on white look. I see you are using VDJ, have you always used that software? I remember using it back in 2010, it worked well. Eventually made the switch to Serato using SSL, using SDJ currently.

Thanks!! Yes I started with Virtual DJ in 2009. I tried Serato but didn't care for it. I've stuck with VDJ for 15 years so far and still love it!

@@mike._.feliciano6782 Thanks!! And I wasn't trying to pour shade on Serato either. It's a great program. Many love it. It just wasn't for me. 😊

Hey Dj 2 Legit, Do you find Sound Switch easy to use/program and overall do you find it is expensive with the on going costs? Also l have the IR4’s and 360 pixel tubes. Do you think they run flawlessly with Sound Touch? Thanks

SoundSwitch is EXTREMELY difficult to learn and setup in the beginning. Now it's easy as pie for me. There are zero ongoing costs for it. I purchased the Control One and the lifetime SS membership for the software. That's it. No more costs ever. And yes my IR4s, my 360 pixel tubes and my Chauvet 4bars all sync up perfectly and flawlessly with SS.

@@DJ2Legit007 Thanks for that, it’s good to know. I’m so nervous to invest in it, just in case l can’t grasp how to program/operate it. But after seeing your light show come to life, and how professional it looks, l might have to bite the bullet and give it go. I have got so many ideas from you, l love your content keep up the good work.

@@finalvinyl3633 Here's a suggestion. Do like I did. Soundswitch is totally free to try for 30 days. I told myself if I can figure it out in 30 days then I'm keeping it and gonna invest in the lifetime subscription. You could even purchase a Control One and return that for a full refund before the 30 days is up as well. Most sellers allow a 30 day return window. That also put pressure on me to really dive into the program and study hard to learn it. Needless to say, I finally did figure it all out during my 2nd week of studying every day. So glad now that I stuck with it. I literally got so frustrated with it that I quit on multiple occasions during my 1st week with it lmaoooo 🤣🤣🤣
