Thanks for the update and the video of your event. I see you're using two canvas type duffle bags for transport. I might for now, have to go the same route until I can find a hard case for transport/storage. Odyssey can make a special order ATA type case for the booth but I don't care for that type plus its is crazy expensive lol. I am still searching for either a Pelican or SKB to fit all the pieces if possible. I am testing the booth for the first time this Saturday and am using a Surface Pro on mine plus I run Breeze as my software. I appreciate your two videos on the PBSC01 because I have yet to see any tutorials (not even from Odyssey) on how to put together this thing which in my opinion it is a dis-service to the owners like us. But I have to admit, as DJ's running a PB business this lil booth works pretty well. Good luck and keep those videos coming!

Actually ordered a second of the bags and think I’m going to run it that way for a while. It’s a good fit- and decently protects it with the foam added inside. It was a challenge to find a bag large enough to keep at least 2 of the sections together. Had it out this past Sunday again and it really worked great- happy with the purchase. The bag I’m using right now is Transworld Luggage 42" Jumbo... www.amazon.com/dp/B004EHN4X0?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

@@highoctaneproductionsllc7380 Hey Where did you purchase the large bag.
@highoctaneproductionsllc73806 жыл бұрын
Eric J. Russell they are available on Amazon Transworld Luggage 42" Jumbo... www.amazon.com/dp/B004EHN4X0?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf It’s a tight fit and isn’t the best of protection for it, but it’s been working really well so far. I lay the base plate in the bottom then 3 pieces of foam, then the top part with the piece still attached, and then kinda tuck the other 2 sections on either side with more foam in the middle of them.

Some questions I have a Odyssey PBP03 Majestic Photo Booth Built-in Modeling Strobe LED. What brand bags do you use and how to you have the inside of the top box organized also do you ever use a ext flash on the outside of the photobooth box?

Hey Scott! Apologize for the late reply, it’s been quite upside down currently with the current “pandemic” - The bag I use is available on Amazon at the time I post this for $78 www.amazon.com/dp/B004EHN4X0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_v3tIEbS1TJQKY I have some thick foam sheets that I put in with it, I leave the camera section and the post immediately under it together, and the other two uprights and the baseplate go in the bag- the flat part of the printer stand goes under the printer in the printer bag, along with the decorative case for the printer on top, I put the tablecloth we use for the prop table over the printer and under the decorative cover to stop it from moving around and stop them from scratching each other in transport- Inside the luggage bag, I put the baseplate first on the bottom, then 3 pieces of foam (about 1/4” thick each- thicker foam would only need 1- this protects the top part from the studs that stick up about an inch out of the baseplate) followed by the camera section with the one upright still attached, which is just about the length of the luggage, some foam around that, and the other 2 uprights stow nicely on either side of the still attached upright in the bag- I had my doubts about a soft case- but now with 2+ years of gigging on it it’s held up really well- only scratch on it was the one time that an attendant packed the whole thing up without any foam and the studs from the baseplate scratched the camera part- not a big scratch and was easy to fix but still the only damage in 2+ years of weekly - ish gigs. Have not had the need to add an external flash to the booth, it really gets great pictures in all lighting conditions- I found that having the modeling light a little dimmer and letting the flash do its job has been the best way- I run the camera in full auto - but even in completely dark rooms, I still get excellent picture quality. Let me know if you hav me any other questions!

How did you connect the printer as well as the camera to the surface? Theres only 1 usb available on the surface
@highoctaneproductionsllc73805 жыл бұрын
thecoolestlace I added a usb 3.0 hub inside the booth, haven’t had any issues with it or printer in just about a year now, the hub is necessary also to plug in the flash drive we use to put the photos on for the client at the end of the event.

The picture looked like it needs additional lighting. Have you found that you need additional lighting?
@highoctaneproductionsllc73806 жыл бұрын
Eddie Miles I have not found the need for additional lighting with the booth- I do believe from that I ritual test print that I show in the beginning of the video I turned the modeling light brightness up once guests started going through the booth. I also had the booth a bit further back from the backdrop than I normally do because there were consistently groups of 10+ people and I wanted to make sure we had the room to get them all in the shot. If I decide to add additional lighting there is already threads on to of the booth for it. I can email you some of the digital copies if you want to check them out - just send me an email - Dan@highoctaneproductions.com

Thank you Dan for the quick response. I am adding a booth and found your videos. Nice job! The modeling light (flood) seems a bit intrusive, IMHO. I just worked with a booth that used external lighting. Your system looks very nice. Thanks again.
@highoctaneproductionsllc73806 жыл бұрын
Eddie Miles you are correct- it’s kind of a trade off for compactness/quick setup and a somewhat intrusive light. With it on full bright being directly around the camera it does make it a little hard to look straight at the camera. The internal flash does work fairly well too, but as with all photography more lighting can always be added. I had considered adding some external lighting for our other booth which is iPad and iPad camera based. That one sometimes has a hard time in low light/ long distance situations. At this point I don’t think I’m willing to add to the load in and setup lol. This booth has been on 7-8 more gigs since this video and it’s really done well in a variety of lighting

Chris Scott it’s a pipe and drape kit available on Amazon OnlineEEI Premier Portable... www.amazon.com/dp/B00EUEBDTY?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf The uprights are not adjustable though and occasionally run into an issue with low ceilings- they do sell adjustable uprights but I haven’t found it as a kit yet- will be ordering the adjustable soon! Thanks for watching!

Subscribed! Great video bro! I'm currently a wedding photographer here in Hawaii and I figured that a photo booth would be a great addition to my services. This Odyssey photo booth caught my eye a few days ago, however, there wasn't much information about it online. I'm soooo glad I found your videos about it. They were very informative! Quick questions... Could you touch on the stability of the photo booth? Would it tip/break if someone were to bump into it? & how is the photo booth with kids, especially those who are very short lol. Does the ability to tilt the camera work well for them? Let me know, thanks man!!!
@highoctaneproductionsllc73806 жыл бұрын
Thomason Takata we would be happy to provide photobooth services in Hawaii if you pay the travel! 😂😂😂 The lack of content on this specific booth was the main reason I decided to make the video- I always try to get as much info as I can before making a purchase. The booth is extremely stable- center of gravity is very very low. There is no accidental tipping of it. The adjustable feet also help that out greatly. We actually had it setup on a pretty steep grade last Sunday with 2 feet all the way out and 2 all the way in to compensate and it was super stable. Quite impressed by it. Also pretty sturdy as far as the top to the baseplate. There’s a little wiggle if you press the screen hard, but the base isn’t moving at all- the little bit of flex is in the tower itself, and is to be expected with a design like this. It actually has a less flex compared to some of the other booths I’ve worked with from other (Dj) companies. The adjustable tilt works extremely well. I was able to get anyone in the frame I wanted by tilting it all the way down. I did tilt the entire booth forward to capture a woman with her 2 dogs but they were only maybe 24” tall so if it’s only people you will get them in the frame for sure. I have a gig with it this Sunday, I’ll see if I can get some video and better detail on the tilt for you. Thanks for subscribing and thanks for the feedback!
