Love the energy you brought to the set. Dealing with bright sunlight can be a real challenge, but you nailed it. RCF NXL24s are a solid choice for outdoor events.

As always a fantastic video and a fantastic job. I am studying business in the music industry at full sail university and I have an assignment where I have to interview someone who manages employees and is in the music industry. You have been my inspiration to start my own company in Oregon and I would love to interview you for this assignment. It would be short and only take about 20 minutes of your time. I appreciate everything you do to spread knowledge in this amazing industry!

I'm wanting to get the new 44 version of these, the 24s don't seem to be loud enough unless I'm missing something?

Rick, love your videos. I have a dire question. Have you ever had your sub stop banging but pass the audio through? It shows levels and even limits but no bass. It's an EV EKX 18SP. Any ideas?

Yeah your woofer is broken. "Locked up / blown" or possible that the wires came off the back of the woofer. But most likely it's locked up. If you take the grill off and the woofer doesn't move freely then you need to replace the woofer. The amp is most likely fine.

@DJRickWeb thank you sir. I took it apart yesterday. All wires are good. I'm thinking it's some failure on the circuit. No burning smell.

Awesome gig log, I’m new to the DJ world and just getting into the set up. I saw you said that you only had one outlet. Did you connect all your gear into that one outlet? If so if that outlet tripped, you would loose all power. If not how are you powering everything? Thanks
@axelrod213 ай бұрын
I can give a bit of advice for what it matters. I would invest in a portable batter station or a solar generator as there sometimes called. I would get the most Watt Hours you can afford and there around 1 to 3K. You can plug your critical loads like your DJ laptop and Decks in and a speaker that way even if the power goes you can still get by for a bit till you can reset the power hopefully or finish the set. :) Also having 2 or more is nice so you can run your entire system sound and lighting in UPS mode. I personally like Anker but there is others like Blue Yetti Goal Zero and the most common you will hear is Jackery. Also a lot of people will eventually get what's called a PD or Power Distribution Box which allows you to hook into a 240 volt and above source. :) In that case I would suggest getting ahold of a licensed electrician and they can give you more advice on Electricity and being safe and not frying stuff. :) I hope that helps. :)

Awesome, thank you. I was wondering about the power distribution and how that worked as well. But not all venues have a 240 outlet close by. Something to need to look into. Thanks again.

@@axelrod21could def do the whole setup with a power station for the night with a 2500-3000wh I did it before with a pecron

why are these weddings in America over at like 12pm, in Germany for example we are celebrating til 4-5 am
@josephbisenio49843 ай бұрын
Noise restriction implemented in the city. When I was in the Philippines we party at 3pm and will end at 7am the next morning. I moved in Canada and 11pm party is done.

That would be horrible for the DJ! Nobody wants to break all that down at 4am.

I’m in France and I wish that we would also end around midnight by starting earlier !!
@thomas_ger40982 ай бұрын
Interesting fun fact: 30 years ago it was standard that weddings in Germany ended up at midnight too. This was common sense. In the last 30 years this has changed to ridiculous late starts as well as ridiculous late endings in the morning.

They need to tint the top plastic or something. That wouldnt work in Texas when its over 100 daily.

#squad Great content! I love the setup and the great tips! Looking to upgrade to a new laptop. What specs do you recommend? do you play all of your music off of the internal hard drive or are you connected to an external?

Get the best processor, 16 gb of ram or better. And probably 1tb ssd as well. Always buy the best you can afford.
