I recently replayed DJ Hero for the first time again in 13 years. I almost teared up doing the Daft Punk Record bag section leading up to this. From this game and all of their albums, they were really juggernauts in the music industry. I'll never forget their impact on me and their eternal music.

Brendan Neilson sadly the *hero series (DJ hero, Guitar hero) has been discontinued by Activision. that said, there was plans in the works at time of cancellation of DJ hero 3D on the 3DS.

@@Jaguarr3-0 Nope, that's dead. Activision diluted the brand and sole FreeStyleGames to Ubisoft. The studio is now called Ubisoft Leeamington. And all the major people behind it created their own independent studio, called Slingshot Cartel. We could have hoped for Harmonix to take the concept on their own, but they decided to do Fuser instead. Which is not DJ Hero at all.

Sorry. I've deleted my old account. Just gonna say it again, Daft Punk never made this remix. If you go to the game, when you select the track, you'll see a "Mixed By" entry. When you select a mashup that was guest-mixed, you'll see who mixed it. For example, Groundhog was mixed by the Scratch Perverts. And you could see their name. But when you see it for Megamix 1 and 2, you'll see "Mixed by FSG", aka FreeStyleGames, DJ Hero's dev team. Megamix 1 and 2 were never mixed by Daft Punk. It was mixed by some of the 40 producers who worked on the game.

I feel absolutely lucky as hell to have played DJ Hero 1 + 2 on release. I would go to the Best Buy store near my work an hour before my shift to put a few songs on before my paycheque. After two months I saved enough on the side to grab the set. I adored it. I picked up DJ Hero 2 as soon on pre-order as I heard it was coming, Deadmau5 was going to be in it. I'm Canadian so that was a huge deal for me.
