DJ Hyperactive - Sounds Of The Underground Vol. 4 (Side A)

Hyperactive stands out as one of those people that really pushed the scene forward, both from his iconic mixtapes and his ridiculous producing. If you were raving in the mid 90's, this is someone who was hard to ignore, even in California.
My buddy gave me a dub of Sounds of the Underground 1 and 2 which I wore the fuck out. Years later when I began collecting vinyl and DJ'ing, many of the tracks I was in search of were produced by Hyperactive. This dude seemed to be everywhere.
A true underground pioneer!

'Sounds of the Underground v.4' is *the* mixtape that 100% completely changed my life the first time (& the second time, the10th, the100th, etc. time) it entered my brain. i went through at least three original physical cassette copies in my teens & then finally burned a copy to cdr). im sure there's a word for this, but over the years i've managed to pick up almost every single 12" used on both sides of vol.4. Volumes 5-8 of the Sounds of the Underground series were almost as important to me, but this is the one. infinite respect to the dj hyperactive.

Awesome story. We all have that "one tape", mine was Possessed. I've got some more Hyperactive coming. Still trying to get all his "12" series. Those are really difficult to come by.
