This album is a masterpiece! I was born in 93 and my dad played it scince I was a child. Now looking back in time as a music producer today, i think this is really good sophisticated stuff, like really a lot of music from the 90s! 90s was not only trash it was most of all good really good music!

I love this album - My favourite track is Bu Seki - When I purchased this album about 22 years ago, and found Bu- Seki I set my player on repeat for at least 6 hours right after swallowing a good dose of MDA & LSD...I have not been able to find my freakin' mind ever since...!! Ahh...I don't miss it.

I started with DJ Shadow, then from there to DJ Krush...and now this with Toshinoro Kondo...wonderful! Track two shows more than a wink and a nod to Miles Davis...no complaints from me on that! I think it's especially current now with the recent popularity of chillhop/lo-fi. Stuff like this is like the grown-up version. Similar sound, but far more complex melodies.

I would say 70-80% of amateur bedroom producers throwing lofi beats on the internet are pretty generic at this point (getting into hype of genre). Krush was a professional, he digged records, worked at studio etc. Along with other artists like Shadow, Herbaliser, Wiseguys, Massive Attack, Portishead, Cut chemist and turntablist artist this type of "instrumental hip-hop" became more known as trip-hop back then

Exactly. I was scrolling through the comments looking for someone who commented on Mu-Getsu. No one until the last comment :). Man that song is such a vibe... the percussion just outlandish. It reminds me of a city soundscape. That driving compressed kick drives so hard while the trumpets almost tell a mystery jazz story you cant help move too. The best

@@WokeSpokes I disagree. You can find plenty of underground and unknown music on Spotify. This is the case where an album was removed due to label issues. This happens often, some of my favorite artists randomly have an album removed because it was on a different label.
