Honestly, this PvD set is probably the purest live trance set of all time. Oakey has so many classic live sets, as does Tiesto, but this set is pure trance energy. The track selection + the mixing + the energy. Absolutely timeless. I remember when this set came out. I was 19 years old. Just about to graduate high school. Me and my friends were a very small group of people that liked trance/house. Back in '03 electronic music was not popular. People looked at us strange, but we didn't care. This set was always blasting for us. The best memory I have of this set is in '06. We live about 1.5 hours from Coachella here in SoCal. Me and my buddy drove out to Coachella when Daft Punk was playing live in '06. The entire way we had this set blasting and just completely jammin' out to PvD. Epic.

Wow. This music freaks me out. I love Paul Van Dyk. One of my good friend who is a huge fan of Paul gave me a CD a few years ago to listen to and been hooked on trance ever since. My friend in question got a left brain stroke at age 39 and everytime I hear this track I think of the hard times this man went through but thank God he's better.

Will never ever forget my rave days in the late 90s early 2000s and this track always takes me back to those feelings like it was yesterday. The first 28 minutes of this set transports you to a higher level of being, it is pure joy and emotion, the highest state of euphoria any trance lover can reach is inside the opening 28 minutes of this set... EDIT: My god from aroujd 10:45 you can hear he starts to build an ascent upward and it just keeps elevating up to the clouds, the energy building is unbelievable

Great set, but Paul Van Dyk wasnt part of the lineup of Trance Energy 2003 (february 15 2003) This one is actually from Energy (October 8th 2003) a completely different event. Most of the songs were not even composed in february 2003.

Hallenstadion, I was there. 2003 is last year of real trance, in 2004 the scene changed completely. The confusion about Trance Energy is the sign of new generation of trance lovers don’t knows Hallenstadion was the best cathedral of raves; Trance Energy Utrecht was started at end of the golden era, 2002, but it is promoted by id&t which is able in marketing like Armada, unfortunately most people believe the trance is only id&t e Armada.
