Radar and I went to high school together, and actually Q-Bert was using the loop pedal first, Radar learned from him, and improved on it. Arizona is rich with groundbreaking DJ's. People may like Z-trip, but in my opinion he was the least talented of the Bombshelter DJ's. Radar is/was always a better fundamental scratch, syncopation, and cadence grandmaster. Arizona also had DJ Focus, famous for the optical crossfader that pushed the limits of technology and improved the fader cut off point and eliminated noise bleed. DJ Radar and DJ Focus. The ‘pump it up’ scratch is incredible! After laying down the bass then drums and straight into the sick scratch. Nothing as good has happened since. IMO
