Congrats to Richard Blade! I remember listening to him back in the day. During my lunch break, I would listen to "80s flashbacks" on KROQ. Tammi Heidi took over when Richard moved to the Caribbean. She was awesome too. I think the radio station KROQ deserves a star on Hollywood Walk of fame. That radio station was massive during the 80s and 90s. I loved the L.A. radio stations from those days. Not only KROQ, but Pirate Radio, KNAC, KLOS, Star 98.7, and the underground songs from Mars Fm.

Congratulation Richard Blade! I remember your first day on the radio, girls were calling in over your sexy voice! And the Video show you did was great, wearing shorts and introducing Videos! The 80s were indeed awesome, and a lot of it was because of you. Thank you!

Richard, you deserve it. A legendary KROQ DJ, also enjoyed your stint on Video One, both on KHJ Channel 9, and on KDOC, channel 56. You were good with the club appearances, like at Live Bait in Long Beach, Barwinkles in Long Beach, Aftershock in Studio City, Club Planet Earth at the Fonda Theater in Hollywood, Yankee Doodles in Woodland Hills, even XIT in Woodland Hills. I even enjoyed your appearances on Hot Seat with Wally George, and you narrating the Wally George documentary that aired on KDOC ten years after his death. I am sorry the surviving members of your favorite band, Depeche Mode, could not make it to the ceremony
