Na Roxtarovi je vidět, že DJ může být dnes kdejaký trouba, co se naučí používat laptop a sound efekty. On je fake Dj, no real Dj. Skutečný Dj-ing je o mixování vinylů a hraní na úplně jiné bázi, než tyhleti rádoby pouštěči zvukových efektů. Peace and love.

@@DEKROHD Dj-ing byl vždy o umění mixování vinylů na gramofonech. Diskjoking(neboli pouhé přehrávání je k smícgu, stejně jako všichni kdo jsou z něčeho takového vyplesknutí:))) o hraní si na cimprlátkách. Kdo tomu nerozumí měl by s nejprve dovzdělat. To už tu bylo mnohokrát, že budoucnost pohřbí vinyly ale jedině vinyl je jako nosiš záznamu nesmrtelný a poslední roky zažívá neuvěřitelný comeback, že i takový nýmand, jak o roxtar ho používá při svých vystoupeních a tím si myslí, že si může říkat Dj .

From their website: allowed setup: "2 players (2 turntables or CDJs), 1 mixer and a maximum of 2 midi devices. There really is no predefined backline for this artform but this is the maximum allowable amount of gear for our events. You are free to do whatever you want with the aforementioned gear on the DJ desk" Then I agree on the fact that the competitors are "pro" DJs endorsed by "Pioneer &Co", as athletes are showing big sponsor patches in any sport.

So I'm happy with your polite reaction. In the first place I don't have any problems with these type of events at all. It's only a good thing that ''turntableism or whatever you wanna call it'' is promoted. We live in a world where mostly ''money counts'',that's a simple fact. The only ''problem'' I start to have is the fact that I always see the same brands. I should be a good thing when different brands are used in the future. I remember Techinics launched a good CD-player with pitch and it turned out to be a disaster. The reason: Pioneer did smarter sponsoring and ended up as ''the new standard''. Scratching,turntableism,mixing,etc are still mostly ''underground'' music styles and people like that,including myself. It should be better to organise events where people can see different brands of each product that is used by ''the DJ's''. I'm happy to see,at the huge Tomorrowland Festival in Belgium for instance,different set ups are used these days. For example not only Pioneer gear but also Allen&Heat mixers,so DJ's can choose with one they wanna use. That's a good thing. If Pioneer keeps dominating the market it finally will end up with ''higher prices'' in the store. That's how it works in this world and I just don't like the idea that ''money rules''. It's good that there's some variety in any market. Good for all of us. That's just my philosophy. By the way,I also agree with you my brother and I appreciate your polite reaction. Cheers mate.

I don't see creating a standard in festivals as a bad thing, but at the same time I love innovation and the research of something that anybody on Earth has ever heard! I am a gear geek for musicand I could die if the standard equip for playing was a Stratocaster, a Fender Jazz and Marshall amps! ...and Technics makes the best turntables, period :P (just my incompetent opinion) Money rules are cruel, but have their logic... Music is a product, companies invest on musicians and events because that's how they transform music into money. It's an investment. I can say I'm happy a company is putting money in music by sponsoring artists or events, while at the same time I find it unnerving and sad as this is killing things I love in music. What is not mainstream will see no money, will have less visibility and amateur artists...but it will live on the true passion of the musicians and the fans. And that's just fine for most of us: metalheads, underground hip hop fans and hardcore vynil scratchers Cheers!
