Rush has been smashing out his own style since his early days. From 80's jacking Chicago House, through hypnotic Machine Funk alongside Mills and May at clubs like Lost in the 90's, to his punishing Hard Techno sets in the 00's. Its his style and his jacking swinging rhythm is totally Black and Funky. Those saying this is 'White music' need to study some Detroit/Chicago techno history. Black musicians can be at tough as fuck and Rush has always delivered.

God, I love techno but I hate that everywhere there's discussion about it, it's always "This isn't real techno!" Or bashing some other DJ. Or that the audience doesn't dance the way you think they should. Or some other elitist nonsense. I don't understand why you can't just love something without having to hate everything else. Or act as if you aren't able to appreciate more than one subgenre of techno. No one thinks you're cool, bro.

House is a term and a way of life! Cox's plays techhouse and techno. Dj rush is more hardtechno or industrial Techno. people still dont understand the wide range of Techno....hard soft minimal tribal housy and so on. I love dj's that play a mix of different techno and try to tell a story. Sometimes hard and loopy and some with great building breaks and dark industrial sounds and funky groovy techno...many ways to go!

I can remember seeing him live around 2000 in Germany, Preschen , K2 Club. It was old soviet jet fighter bunker. What an amazing location mixed with fine Techno. I miss these times👌😊
