Hi, I need 28 extractions and immediate dentures put in I am petrified. How many teeth did you have pulled ?. How did they numb you, did you feel anything ? How long did it take ? I am 55 yrs. old bad teeth all my life, parents never took me to the dentist, don't know why, but anyway thank you for the videos, they are very helpful.

I went the local numbing route... the shots themselves weren't too bad.. felt no worse than a pin prick. I really didn't feel any "real" pain during the extractions... if I did start to "feel" the least bit I would tell him and he'd go in with more numbing. It took 1 1/2 hours for mine from start to finish... but I had 3 or so that were difficult and he had to take longer to get the root tips that broke off. 29, even easy extractions will take more time. If at all possible do the sedation.

Another great video David! Thanks for all the helpful info. And dont feel bad Roberta I am right there with you,I have about that many extractions plus my wisdoms. Oh lordy! Its not so much the pain cause with bad teeth I am use to HORRIBLE toothaches. Its more of the pressure of the pulling and having someone in your mouth for hours! I give up on a tough piece of steak after a few minutes. Wish I was more like my mom. She would let someone set up at the flea market pull her teeth!

Was just watching your first video again and wanted to say that your new teeth look fantastic. I just got done paying $1300 for one effing crown for a molar last week (plus 300 something more dollars for pre crown preparation!!!)!!! Now it's still hurting and I fear I may need a root canal, which I can't afford so it looks like I'll be suffering until I can afford it. It's not terrible though and hoping I dont need it/hoping the pain goes away. Congrats to you.

Hi DJ, Thanks for your videos and your smile looks great. My extraction day is 3/13 I wish it was sooner. I scheduled this after my checkup on the 28th so I could have time to get my head into it. I binged dentures and found this family, how fortunate for me. You and Matt, Wes, kailinjax, and the others ahead of me on this journey. I have watched most of the vids, and all anxiety and fears I had were evaporated by honesty and true stories. Thanks Again

Roberta, 9 upper teeth pulled. One of my first videos stated that if I had to do it over again, I would opt for the extra $200 in order to be put under sedation for the procedure. Not because the process was bad, but my tension and nervousness. It's like nails on a chalkboard... it doesn't REALLY hurt you, but it's more on your nerves than anything. If you are having 28 pulled.. then I would highly recommend you be put under... you'll doze off and when you wake up your dentures will be in!
