Won't you also have to account for the master volume within the DJ program?

That's a good point. If you leave your decks on auto gain, or alternatively just watch the meters on the screen with your DJ program, and simply ensure its Master meter isn't peaking, all should be fine. But it does vary software by software.

What about the volume of the speakers? My gear is a DDJ-SB and a pair of S-DJ50X, i mean, once the master volume of the controller is set correctly (high volume) what should be the volume of the speakers? Could it be the full volume? Thanks

If you have control over that, same principle - as loud as it goes without hitting the red.

You can go “full volume” but you can’t go “full gain”. The gain is what gives you distortion.....
