My wife and I were fortunate enough to see their Hometown Holiday concert this year, which was also guitarist Ben Guiles final performance with the band. Not only do they ROCK HARD, but all of the band members are humble, kind, and generous in person. They took time to speak with everyone, getting down on their knees to interact with and “tattoo” (sign) the arms of some of the kids in the audience. Here are some recommendations: Covers: Far bottom girls (Queen) kzbin.info/www/bejne/hIaUoImnm9KkaZYsi=gPs4easr_4Lc-Zg0 Folsom Prison Blues (Johnny Cash) kzbin.info/www/bejne/nnKrm4Bslp6Zj6Msi=lr_j-kgSb48LvyGI Hallelujah (Leonard Cohen) kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXjKhWmirNd5l68si=zhvmdiMX_idHowqu Originals: My favorite original is Dragonfly, written by lead singer Phil Freeman after his mother passed away in 2017: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6W1i2igebSnd5Ysi=a0icgrwXbqfavC7N Ben Guiles performed this as the show closer at his farewell performance with the band: kzbin.info/www/bejne/imjPZquKbq-ImK8si=xUybZaxMjhgo0Xn_ 9 to 5 (NOT a Dolly Parton cover!) kzbin.info/www/bejne/qIrJkmuHiKqfmrMsi=osLEYH9Oy5F8Dbcf Finish the Story: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jWHPlKyipL-SorMsi=yZ5ktsgzdH-ikAqL

DJ, first I want to thank you for all the joy your reactions bring. You brighten my day with every reaction I watch. You are truly the You Tube Cheer Squad Captain for musical performances! I've been going over the recommendations above, trying to decide what would be the best follow -up reaction to the Grinch. STT's cover of Hallelujah is great, but compared to Grinch might feel 'low-key'. Instead of pulling out all the stops, they focus on the musicality and emotional lyrics of the song. As for their original songs, 9 to 5 captures the band's 'image', but I think either Dragonfly or Doorbell showcases the real heart and soul of the group. Anyway, hope this helps! Happy Herdmas!

The bass line of that guitar sounds so James Bond. Never would have expect that combined with Mr. Grinch...BUT IT FITS SO DAMN WELL!

You need to hear the Tommy Johansson version as well. It reminds more to this, than the others you've explored, but can definitely stand up on its own.

There's one version of Mr Grinch, besides this one, that I rarely see reacted to: Voctave. It's rather unfair because it's the only video of theirs that showcases their bass singers.
