In 1958, our managers decided that we should play with only white dudes. Zito, Pelé and Garrincha were only allowed to play in the third decisive game against the USSR. Djalma was 10 better than De Sordi, but he was black. That's the reason he's only played one game in the whole tournament. If were less racist, we would probably be , at least, 10 times champion 🏆 of the world.

Tive a satisfação de ve-lo jogar nos estadios pela Portuguesa e Palmeiras, formou na maior linha média que existiu ( Djalma Santos, Zito e Nilton Santos).Djalma Bicampeão Mundial e acho que foi também o primeiro jogador a jogar 100 jogos pela seleção. Djalma era mais um lateral defensivo, raramente apoiava o ataque fazendo ultrapassagens, preferindo manter sua função defensiva.

Um lateral raiz, na verdade. Os brasileiros criaram essa posição para atuar assim. Então, Djalma não era "lateral defensivo", ele era o padrão da época dele. A história oficial conta que a coisa mudou mesmo a partir de Carlos Alberto Torres e Giacinto Facchetti.

Just across my mind, is there any right back top 5 GOAT who are not Brazilian? Djalma Santos, Carlos Alberto, Leandro, Dani Alves and Cafu. Those are pretty much the GOAT for RB position. @@kostask8866 Zanetti, yeah he can be in consideration as well, but Lahm i don't think so. he was not as explosive as other RBs, and he is not better than his mentor Bixente Lizarazu. i love Lizarazu, btw, one of the best wing back to ever play the game. I do however will consider Lilian Thuram! The guy was a mountain of defensive right back!

@@kostask8866 never meant to disrespects Phillip Lahm, especially since I watched him since his junior age. I personally love Germany wing backs. I love how Christian Ziege or Paul Breitner or the likes played in their prime. It's just, I've seen better wing backs better than Lahm. Top 10 probably, on the left side though, not right side. If you want to put him in your list, that is fine. We are entitled to our own opinion anyway 🤷🏻

Zito Amorim há 1 segundo Djalma Santos was a black talented man who had to face injustice every little day of his life. By the way, in Sweden in 1958, the CEOs of the CBD (Brazilian Sport Confederation) didn´t want you (foreigners) to know that Brazil was a black nation. That´s why they have decided to put 4 italian guys: De Sordi, Dino Sani , Joel and Mazolla in our team, and exclude Djalma, Zito, Garrincha and Pelé. Needless to say that, Zito, Garrincha and Pelé (all black guys) only had a chance to play in the third game (against USSR) because the other players demanded their presence or as they said "If they don´t play we will go back home faster". Brazil is not a racial democracy. On the contrary, it has a perfect APARTHEID. The descendents of the African slaves till today live in the so called "FAVELAS", slums, where they are daily shot and killed or arrested. And I bet (sadly) they will stay there for many years... DJALMA SANTOS WHO IS THE BEST OF HIS POSITION IN THE HISTORY OF FOOTBALL PLAYED ONLY IN THE LAST GAME (THE FINAL GAME AGAINST SWEDEN). HE PLAYED JUST ONE GAME, BUT WAS CHOSEN THE BEST OF THE WORLD CUP IN HIS POSITION.
