December 24, 2001. Fleeing American bombings in Tora Bora, the young Frenchman Hervé Djamel Loiseau is found dead of hunger and cold in the frigid mountains of Afghanistan. Villagers found on him his return ticket to France, his passport, an identity card, a pocket Koran, 30 rupees and two aspirin tablets. Hervé Djamel Loiseau is one, according to the D.S.T., of some 300 soldiers of Allah who left France to join Bin Laden's training camps.
What pushed this young 28-year-old Frenchman to flee Paris to join the ranks of Al-Qaeda and the holy war?
Brahim Yadel left France with Djamel. He was in Tora Bora, injured in the leg, he was captured by the Afghans and spent almost three years in Guantanamo. With Brahim, we discover the route and the channels which allowed these young soldiers of Allah to join the Jihad and for Djamel to end up as a martyr...
