what should I do if I get a 405 Method not allowed message when I try to access the webpage with the view?

Hello Carina, When you request a web page from a browser , the server receives a get request, so your view is not allowing the GET requests for some reason and that depends on your view type and code.

How did you get around needing to pass a request into your get method? Am I missing something? I keep getting the error "missing 1 required positional argument 'request'" and don't know how to get around it

You just need to set the permissions for the view that’s controlling the url to “AllowAny”.
