Damn, 10 year old movie. I remember seeing it as it was yesterday. Time goes by too fast.

Black cowboys were common in the old west. But of course, since they were so GOOD at being cowboys, white America thought that keeping them out of photos could even up the score. After the Civil War, millions of slaves migrated west. Intelligent ranch owners saw their potential, and quickly hired them as cowboys. They asked for less money, worked harder, and never protested at the bad treatment they received.

I cannot tire of watching documentaries about Django Unchained. It is probably the most powerful and meaningful movie in decades. Quentin couldn't have assembled a better cast. All the Way from Jamie Fox to Miriam Glover.

(correction) I cannot get tired of watching documentaries about Django Unchained. It is probably the most powerful and meaningful movie in decades. Quentin couldn't have assembled a better cast. For me the key of the movie was Christoph Waltz, although he was the supporting actor, he became a star because of his Dr. Schultz role, which made him Oscar winner twice. So he didn't disappoint anybody at all.
@cmcproductions26
@cmcproductions26 4 жыл бұрын
To be fair, he got a lot of recognition for playing Hans Landa, in Inglorious bastards. Which is why he got the first Oscar. What's crazy, is he wasn't even known in America, prior to Inglorious Bastards. He was doing Austrian Television, and Theatre. Quentin Tarantino was having a REALLY difficult time finding an actor who he thought could pull of playing Landa. He had seen audition after audition, and couldn't find ANYONE. He had a week left, until getting the money from the production company to begin production, and told producers of the film "if I don't find anyone to play Landa these next 5 days, I'm just going to publish the script, and start working on a different project". Then someone suggested having Christoph Waltz come in, and read for the part. Waltz came in, auditioned, and left, and as soon as he left the room, Tarantino, and I believe the executive producer, high fived, and said "we're making the movie!!" In excitement.

you know how actors always talk about everything on a set was just so great and wonderful and what masterminds the directors or other actors are? 90% of these people say that bc they get paid. With this cast you feel, they actually mean it.

i appreciate the conversation about Jamie Foxx arriving in his Range Rover, struggling to get the spirit of being a slave. so many people would say that they live their lives as if slavery were still legal. this is why Tarantino is the only person who can pull this movie off. when you get a tiny taste of how horrific the past was, you don’t dare act like we are still living it. life changing film.

For all of you who didn't know. In every way you look at it, this is the best movie ever made. I repeat, this is the best movie ever made. It's not flawless, but neither are the so called classics. If you look at the screenplay, camerawork, caracter build up, story telling, music, plot, colour shifts, theme, historical context, best scenes, humour, cast, director, context etc. It is supreme to every other alternative you come up with. IMHO that is of course. But still. Think about it.

@@reinier660 I did read the full post, it's a few words, I can manage that. What did I miss according to you? You claimed this is the best movie ever made and then said it again to put emphasis on it. And just because you talk about fucking color shifts doesn't mean you're an expert, you just sound to try artsy and knowledgeable but it does nothing to support your silly claim. Now go project some more and pretend everyone just "doesn't get it" or make up similar excuses.

@@NPC_-mf4dw Wow, chill. I'm just saying Django is my favorite movie. I know a lot of people have they're own personal best movie ever made, and they surely wouldn't agree with me. And that's very fine. Seems like you're overreacting a bit. Guess you're not ok with me saying how and why I like that movie so much. But I think it's the best movie out there. People have different opinions, deal with it. Friendo.

I have watched this movie 4 times in the last month. Truly a masterpiece, for me its a comedy in some ways, but also a look into how bad it was back then. Really gets all your emotions riled up. I seriously hope cancel culture doesnt get this movie shut down and removed. Christoph Waltz and Jamie Foxx were DEFINETELY the two best actors for this movie!!! For those who liked this movie, look into Inglorious Basterds!!
