Numark Mixtrack Pro 1 vs Pro 2 comparison

Bottom line - can't really go wrong with either.

Great Video. I have the mixtrack pro compatible with virtual DJ, I do a lot of events at my school and like the feel of the mixer, but having seeing the new one, and watching your vids I'm curious to know is the transition hard from virtual dj to serato, because I'm leaning towards upgrading but I know the new mixer isnt compatible to virtual dj.

isn't there 2 sets or RCA out on the original ...? I'm looking into controllers... I'm new to all of this and using a mixer with various inputs, including a laptop... I have DJ2Go coming so I'll have something better than just the mouse/pad for now. I'm wanting something relatively small and I'm looking at the mixtrack pro 2 and the others in the $300 and under range. I plan to still run the controller/laptop into a mixer with CDJs and one turntable. any input would be great. Thx for the vid

Nice review. I too have you're issue of huge hands, so the jog wheel size matters. Yea the II looks better, but they both really do the same thing. It's down to how you feel with the controller.

i like on teh pro 1 the the effects knobs at the top...are they exact same on PRO 2?

Every body talk about the knobs pads...and stuff...i don't see a single vid on youtube that talks of the most important...the sound card specs...or boost...is it better?is not?what specs...is it valid in a club environment?...i still have my old Hercules Rmx and if you are playing on a club is much more lower than if i'm playing in DVS (vinyl or cd's), the sound card is much more louder and efficient in a club...would this could be compare for example to a NI Audio 4 Dj?...

What about latency with jogwheels and crossfaders? Do they have lag even with ASIO4ALL sound driver used?

So apart from the pads is there any difference?I cannot decide which one to buy. Do both have sample and effects options or just the "Pro 2" Sorry for Noob question. Just didn't want to miss out on some features for the sake of a couple of quid!

Can you still do the auto loop on the mix track pro? And do that where it half 's your loops for you?

I haven't tried the Pro 2 but I did have the Pro 1 and it was pretty decent for the $100 I paid. From what I've read, the Pro 2 isn't much different at all except the pads. I don't know if the soundcard (or any internals) has been updated or anything but for me, the Pro 2 isn't worth the extra $150 or so. It's over double of what you can get with a Pro 1. I doubt a club owner will care which one you use.

yes it works with virtual dj goto type in soundsliveshop in youtube you will see an excellent review with virtual dj.....But as a mobile dj there is nothing really new or different but pads just look better but if your quipment is behind a facade who will notice but you

Get the pro, it has it's own built in sound-card. "Pro" does not mean that you have to have any more experience.

the hercules RMX2 is better and works as a stand alone mixer with multiple inputs and has pads more bang for the buck and cheaper plus come with a bag

Guys the mixtrack pro 2 is much petter then mixtrack pro. I have the mixtrack pro 2 and it is much more solid then the mixtrack pro so guys i would spend the extra money for the mixtrack pro 2!!!!!

I disagree with looks bc if you are getting paid and your doing a wedding and you have a façade up who can see what your using people just want you to play and mix good music...Please don't get caught up on looks pads buy it for what software u want to use...I been using the mix track pro for 2 years doing weddings to clubs customers are satisfy its the other DJs at the club or event that tries to make it an issue...
