People jump to conclusions, based on assumptions. With the people in these kind of video's you see this being played out. But it says more about them as personalities, than it does about actual common-sense. If you used common sense you would realise that there is now law whatsoever against you taking footage on your phone of 'that place' you are looking down at from the bridge you are stood on. Just as there is no law against you filming in most museums or exhibitions. The other reality in these videos here is that these people could get a drone for their young son, and be all too willing to fly it over private property - camera or no camera. They wouldn't even think hard on doing it. Because in the end it is all about ego. Massive, overblown, EGO.... which is why common-sense never gets its foot in the door with these people.

As your should all be aware, there is a technology out there (wind Turbines use it) that will read your aircraft ID and then legal departments can take you to court. Maybe BMW employ the same technology and he actually knows who you are without the need of your operator ID?

The unfortunate thing, is whilst the CAA rules do currently allow you to fly your 249g drone over buildings, deliberately goading people in this way ultimately could lead to a toughening up regulations even more than they currently are. Having spent £4K to date on equipment, I’d be gutted if these and other “auditors” make flying impossible without doing so illegally. I genuinely think you are not educating “jobsworths” but eventually kill our wonderful enjoyment through new more restrictive flying rules.

Great stuff but be careful. At around 21:32 you flashed your OP ID several times while his phone camera was pointing at your drone. If he was covertly recording, it will be on film. Just one to watch.

The lookup tool online requires ID + First Name + Last Name which then reveals if the registration is Valid. No other details are shown. Only the Police National Computer can get details from just the ID which I know isn't great either but its very traceable who searched for what nowadays.
